This is what bothers me more than anything, we let good teams bully us way too easily.
 
Best game of the season. Lucic/Kopitar/Clifford and I didn't even notice a drop in play. When you make 6M and Clifford can fill in for you, it's time to start packing a bag.

The depth of Anaheim is what might put them over the top this season. Or at least over the Kings. They're able to roll their 4 lines like the King used to. Garbutt had that great shift near the end of the game. Kings 4th line doesn't even see the ice in close games in the third period.
 
Puck movement has been a big problem, and it's something a lot of forwards seem to struggle with. Brown constantly fumbles the puck, Lewis with his failure to get pucks out, bunch of others who make soft plays and fail to get the puck in deep.

Toffoli, Carter and Lucic look like absolute crap, their skating, puck handling and shooting has taken a huge dip of late, so the team has had to rely too heavily on Kopitar, Doughty and Quick to carry the workload for a bunch of slackers.

Now they have plenty of rest between now and Thursday's game against Les Habitants.

Ducks are on a 15-1-1 record right now and are still behind the Kings.
Only 4 of those wins are vs playoff teams. Sharks 1 Kings 2 and chi 1(OT)
Both team should get back on track soon.
Regular season games are different than playoff games.
Ducks rose to a physical level they don't normally play at tonight. I think the Kings can wear them down in 7 games

This team just looked way too passive and did nothing to prevent the Ducks from crashing the net.

They also left Corey Perry wide open all game long. That's just some awful awareness from the team.

When the top six and bottom six struggle, you get this kind of game. I don't even know what purpose Clifford or Shore serve on this team. Those guys are dead weight taking up roster spots and cap space.

Best part is Perry has thin skin. If you start taking the body he losses his ****... but yeah... don't bother covering the guy.
 
If Carter can't return to form before the playoffs its definitely over. Let's face it, even if Gaborik returns for the playoffs he will probably be wearing a brace and without top speed he will be next to useless. Versteeg is just a roll of the dice on providing any net value.

Kopitar had more ice time than all but Doughty and Muzzin (including all ducks). That is just asking for trouble.
 
What an over reaction. Wow. First off, Kesler neutralizes Kopi? Are you kidding me? Kopi's been playing like a beast against the Ducks for a s*** long time now. Beating the Ducks in a 7 game series is more than possible. 2014 ring a bell?

Brown needs to go or retire. He is taking up cap space that we can use on 2 impact players. Dean needs to learn the game is evolving. I havent liked Deans draft picks the last little while. He does not draft the player with the most skill.

Never once did I say the Kings were doomed or anything. Just stating that so far, in the 8 games they've played against each other, Kopitar has outplayed Kesler once and that was one of the ones the Kings won.

We shot our wad in the first, really had nothing left as the game went along. It showed in the third, and after the goal was call off, they were done. That play sucked the energy right out of them.
