Kings would have faired better if someone beat the piss out of Perron. This guy has been pulling the same stunt against Quick since 2011. When will someone on this roster do something about it? :shakehead

Yeah, Quick taps him on the leg, Perron crosschecks him. Not much after that. Would've been nice to see someone get into Gibsons grill like they did with Quick .

Kinda surprised you didn't say Lewis on the top line.

It may not actually be worse then the current top line...

Yeah you'd think someone would send a message... like lighting up one of the Ducks top players or running their goalie. If only the Kings had a tough leader that was capable of something like that. No the ***** version of the team is so much better. Why are guys like Brown/Lucic/Clifford in the lineup if no one bleeds on the Ducks for that horse ****?

Apparently I need to do some work on the heavy bag tomorrow. Get some of the anger out.

Can't wait to say the same thing when the Kings play the Blackhawks and Shaw takes a run at someone. Can't wait!

These knobs are given carte blanche with no consequences.

I mean, I see no other explanation than restraint by Sutter.

Lucic didn't try to murder anyone when our goalie was getting crosschecked in the chest? Ignore Brown, do you really think screwloose Lucic was like "oh well, it wasn't that bad?"

Doesn't make it better but it's clear on a game to game basis that these guys have no interest in turning random regular season games into sideshows. I absolutely think you should draw the line somewhere and that line is when guys are repeatedly going blades-up at your goalie and the refs don't ****ing care...but man, look how many penalties we take as is, no wonder Sutter has these guys tamed for now...how many penalties did we get against Buffalo (and how many did they NOT take) just because we were too strong? I remember Kopitar in particular wearing Buffalo backpacks in a half nelson at least twice only to watch Dwight King get a 'hooking' call because Eichel couldn't get stickchecked without trying for the Olympic long jump.

That being said, I've never seen the refs give ANYONE a pass on ANY NHL goaltender as much as Perron on Quick. I can't think of how many times he's punched/elbowed Quick in the head, never mind hit him high. Like, bumping into a goalie is simply interference and that's why I don't even mind Perry, he gets in there and goes for the puck and grinds, but Perron will be nowhere near the play and throw an elbow shiv and the refs won't do anything until they call both because Quick slashes.

Just ran out of steam in the third period.

The NHL needs to re-evaluate the coach's challenge on offsides. A challenge of a goal coming off the rush is maybe justified. A challenge of a goal that comes 15-20 seconds of play later? No way. Too many hockey events have occurred between the missed call and the eventual goal to draw a causal link.

The Kings do not want to face that Ducks team in the first round of the playoffs. They look like the team everybody expected to see during the off-season.

What I saw last night was the Ducks play better than the Kings for the most part. I also think the right call was made on the no goal. That’s the rule and you have to live with it. Kopitar looked offside but not sure why it took them 6 or 7 minutes to figure that out. Maybe they ought to give them a screen bigger than an iPad? The fact that the scorekeeper messed up resetting the clock is inexcusable and I think the refs should be accountable for that as well. It didn’t appear like they ever checked with the scorekeeper to make sure everything was set.

How many times are the Kings going to allow Perry and Perron to try to injure the Kings number 1 goalie? The reason they do it is because the let them get away with it.

Clifford should have grabbed Perry and started throwing, break his nose, consequences be damned. Perry never backs his crap up.

When was the last time Clifford won a fight? Plus Lucic dosen't have Chara backing him up anymore. Schenn usually isn't on the ice to back Lucic up. If he beats up a Duck star like Perry, he's gonna get jumped by the whole team. I bet Dean Lombardi was flipping out when Quick was getting roughed up. It reminded me of when Simmonds got suckered by Malkin.

I didn't expect anything else against a bloody red hot Ducks team, let's just move on and focus on Montreal.

We haven't beaten Anaheim in Anaheim during the regular season in a long time anyway. If anything, the Kings were able to hang with them for most of the game and without the bizarre playout of the 3rd, didn't have as bad of a game as people think.

If anything was more impressive it was the Kings getting the job done in the games leading up to the Ducks. They still have the division lead and still have a goal to reach.

Just get Versteeg in the lineup, some practices, and get back on the horse.

Didn't the Kings beat the Ducks in Anaheim earlier this season?

In the regular season the Kings haven't beaten Anaheim by more than 1 goal since February 2013.

 Not surprising. It's always a rough ride against Anaheim. That's why I choose to focus on the Kings actually taking care of business leading up to the game. Easier pill to swallow when you're still ahead and not falling behind completely.

Man, I don't even remember individual playoff losses generating this much misdirected fanrage. Which was what this game felt like.

If in doubt, just pretend we lost Game 2 of some random series, act accordingly.
