Proposal: Ryan Pulock or Noah Dobson for your Top 6 Winger or Center

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
They're both injured currently and are schedule to start skating during the four nations tourney. The team has gone something like 6-1 with both of them out of the lineup so it's not inconceivable that one of them is moved.
Should probably let the effect of "fighting for my NHL life" fade before we decide to unload veteran stalwarts.

Pulock Ehlers swap? Draft picks to make it even.
The amount of times this has been brought up is too many to count. Isn't Ehlers on an expiring contract?

What are NYI needs right now?
A GM who knows how to retool.

Oh, I'm not trying to sell you players that don't fit, don't get me wrong, but sort of oversharing why I don't think we'd try to move either guy you mentioned.

I have no doubt Boeser will bounce back. Hopefully tonight, given he broke his scoring drought last game, but he hasn't really shown the same oomph other guys have with Miller's trade. If he was playing at a high level at least half the time, he'd be locked down for what ever he'd be asking for. But with everything that's happened recently, and his play not picking up immeadiately, it wouldn't shock me to see him moved, although I'd be pretty bummed out to lose him.
Vancouver has also been disarray thanks to the soap opera and we know Brock struggled a bit over the past few seasons. Hopefully he can keep a similar pace to his 40 games over most other seasons where he hovered around an average of about 20.

Dobson for Lekhonen
Lekhonen and…..

Marner(under condition he is willing to sign an extension) and a first for Dobson + Palmieri
Can we add in another condition where he doesn’t have an entourage and a hockey dad trying to force his team to do things?

Wow, I'd give my left nut for Dobson, not sure the habs have what it takes if they want a youngish establish player. I'd consider Caufield. Gotta give to get. To anyone not paying attention, Caufield has really elevated his game on both sides of the ice this year. He's no Patrice Bergeron, but he's decent defensively now.

Speculation so Habs fans can offer a more special needs version of Halak/Ryder/2nd for everyone in hopes someone is interest in helping them for free.
The new Ryder/Halak/2nd is Mailloux/Newhook/pick…Habs fans offer that for everything

Would NYI take Dalls 1st, Musty and Bystedt? Can’t tell if that’s an overpayment or an underpayment — they’re both prospects still though, not ready for prime time.

Late 1st, no young NHL player attached, neither prospect is guaranteed to pan out.

That’s a pretty bad offer.

Obviously, it’s with an agreed extension

This isn’t a thing, unless the player’s #1 priority is an eight year deal. That’s the only reason the Severson and Tkachuk sign and trades happened - because the eighth year was only possible that way.

If Ehlers isn’t insistent on 8 years, or the Isles don’t have an appetite for eight years, then there is no ‘our pending ufa asset is more valuable because we’re wiling to sign and trade’ scenario at all. If the player isn’t getting that eighth year they have no interest in being shackled pre-trade for the benefit of their soon to be former team and to the detriment of their soon to be new team. It just doesn’t happen. The player would rather be traded as a rental and then start talking contract with the leverage of being able to go UFA if the team doesn’t offer value.

It makes no sense for Columbus to acquire a player whose utility to his team is PP1 and offensive 1D minutes. Columbus has a probable Norris finalist already fulfilling that.
I mean...he still doesn't play half the game. Our RHD is in a sad state right now.

Honestly everyone raved about Fabbro with Z but I think he'd be the perfect partner for Mateychuk if we keep him.
