Most years 2 is pushing it afaict. The absolute top end for a smallish dyanmic defenseman is what, Erik Karlsson (?) and he still only got 2 CFs in 11 years and was a shell in both of those. Even Letang was meatier. The pounding matters. Not gonna be broken up over a 20th overall lotto ticket for a top pairing D who's built to at least see you through a run.

I think it's actually been proven that MSG does record shots as being closer to the net than other buildings do.

I don't know about shot totals though.

It is a part of what has driven Hank's GSAA to be so much higher than everybody else's in his generation. The other part is that he was actually better than all the other goalies haha.

Saying Trouba is a top pairing D is like saying Chris Davis is a clean-up hitter. What does it mean?
 
Schneider with a pretty bad shift right there...he’s still pretty raw, really need him playing in the WHL this year...hopefully they have a damn season.

He's a player who has the ability to perform well on a top pair. He still needs a partner that minimizes his weaknesses while allowing him to play to his strengths. So not really a #1, but someone who can play that role in the right circumstances.

The lower pants on Perfetti is so reminiscent of playing with kids who would pull their pants lower to give the illusion of more swagger.

Well no, but hes actually moved it out of his zone really well in this tournament.

That shift was bad, but it comes back to doing less sometimes. That pucks gotta go off a window and not into a bunch of traffic. It's the safe play, but in that case its the right play.
