Too bad this is Canada only. Is the Prime stream available on ESPN+ in the States?

I take it there is not any PVR-like option for Prime games? Don't get home til around 9central tonight and wondering if there is a way to watch from the beginning like they have on DAZN for NFL now. Does anybody know?

It’s a streaming service, so don’t need a PVR, the game is available for about a week. (in Canada only).
Tonight it’s the Leafs vs Winnipeg.

Does this have 4K?
It must be, as it’s a better picture than the 4K hockey games on TSN and Sportsnet, better audio as well.
Its not 4K but its 1080p HDR video at 60 FPS , looks way better than SN or TSN 4K for some reason , somebody more techy would need to explain but it's Amazon they are basically wizards in the internet streaming field right now , especially compared to SN or TSN

I don't have a 4k tv, but like with many things the marketing can't compensate for cheap gear. It's like lower budget films. They're shot in HD, but you can tell the gear is simply cheaper. Just cause it's 4k doesn't mean it's good.

HDR 60FPS is pretty cool still. I'll give it watch tonight just to check that out, too bad it's the Leafs though.

The best hockey is on Monday Night Prime Night. Unfortunately I’ll be watching the World Series tonight but I’ll make sure to peak in and admire that great resolution.

Long Live NHL on Amazon Prime!!

What’s the point? Regional restrictions and I still can’t watch my team. Thought for sure I could watch on prime but NOPE

Way better than Sportsnet or TSN. Quality is great, I can start the game later if I want, I can do a quick recap if I just want to catch up to the live, and the announcers don’t distract at all. Give Amazon more games please.

I dont know how Sportsnet/TSN can see the image quality on offer here, and do nothing to match it.
They've been a duopoly for so long, they never needed to invest to improve their broadcast (outside of the Puckwall, man that was an innovation!) :sarcasm:. Now that the world is moving on (4K, HDR, 60 frames, immersive audio), we're all finding out how lackluster their broadcasts have been. Very refreshing!

I watched on Prime for the first time last night and I was impressed. Production is basically on the same level as TSN/SN, and the talking heads are better on Prime than they are on SN.

This is what I was worried about it but it was not an issue at all. You have total PVR-like flexibility to start watching late either from the beginning or live, go back and forth, skip commercials, etc.

People have been against Amazon for a long time. You're a little late.
Not really, Amazon went nuclear during the pandemic. There's been a group of people who were extremely vocal against Bezos but nothing major.

There's been allegedly 200,000 cancellations for the Washington Post in the last 2 days because of cancel culture. Someone doesn't agree or share the same opinion as them, we must cancel them.

But yeah, I was just pointing that out for people if they were unaware why some people are so against Amazon all of a sudden.

I think the Prime Games have been great, the graphics for the score + the actual video is much better than the trash on sportsnet. Plus the announcers are 1000x better, I normally have the TV volume low so I don't have to hear the guys talking nonsense on SN.

There's some extremely triggered people that have turned against Amazon over the last couple days because the Washington Post is not endorsing a candidate (the candidate they want) this year.
I don’t know or care about any candidate, but I assumed most have an Amazon account.
