I'd like to see more reporting on the struggles of out of work Americans. Many are struggling badly out there. The Trump media daily fight I don't care for and serves no purpose to help anyone, but obviously it gets all the coverage.
Apparently it serves a purpose - intelligent people who have supported him are embarrassed

I think we can all agree that the daily briefings need to stop and they should only either have a weekly briefing or one where some actual important new developments come out, yes?

I agree. Probably should leave the daily briefings to the states.

I think Donald agrees too judging by tonight’s 22 minute briefing. I don’t know if he fully understands, but someone around him understands that it’s sort of playing with fire here letting the President have open mic night for 2 hours a day. Last night undoubtedly cost him actual votes. Even the most aggressive supporters I know were head in hands embarrassed.

Today was the 6'th day in a row of zero new cases in New Brunswick, and the province is slowly opening up again. March 19 was when a state of emergency was declared, only essential businesses stayed open, social distancing, all that stuff. And really, people and the government did a good job.

Details of the proposed phases here if anyone wants a read:

How does Trump suggest we “look at” injecting disinfectant to see if it helps our lungs? Wtf?

This is what our tables might look like when dine out with friends at restaurants.

It hasn't occurred to the designer that the shortest distance between two seated patrons -- the shoulder to shoulder aspect -- is not at all protected. Apparently, once restaurants re-open, turning your head to interact with an individual in an adjacent seat, will have to be prohibited otherwise there is no point to the plexiglass.

I can't wait to see the spittle and droplets that will drape the separators by the end of the evening.

On the one hand It's great that our government is sparing no expense, seems to have all the bases covered.......except one.

Where the f*** are all these billions coming from?

Don't get me wrong as far as PPE's go , by all means spare no expense. It's just that every day he seems to be coming up with a few more billion to bail out someone. Much like his father, who never saw a social program that didn't make sense to him, he's throwing good money after bad . The opposition can't say anything about it or risk coming off as uncaring/unconcerned.

Today he pledged to 75% for small business to pay rent on condition that the landlord absorbs the other 25%,which is more than the landlord can hope to get otherwise so if he has any brains he'll take it. The problem is that small business isn't likely to make it anyhow. So he'll be paying several months rent, with tax payer dollars, to support businesses that aren't gonna survive this anyhow.

I could be wrong, I have been in the restaurant business for 40 years, as employee, as owner, as manager, as chef and in any other capacity you can think of. I got some bad news, there's gonna be a whole new landscape when all the dust settles as far as the food industry goes. Many of your favorites aren't gonna make it.

I’m curious to know more about the rash showing up on patients. My daughter (toddler) had a cough all through the winter this year. Broke out in a rash head to toe around March.

doctor said it wasn’t hand/foot/mouth disease which seems to thrive at daycare, said it was a cold virus instead. Caused her to lose half her fingernails and toenails.

Now I wonder looking back at it what she actually had. They never actually did any blood work to confirm anything.

With a few flaws. You can set up all the barriers you like but the server is going to be the weak link in all of this. He will be going from client to client touching plates ,utensils, glasses, bottles , bills, credit cards , cash, and much more..... All of this after months of being out of work, mANY people aren't going to have the disposable income to afford any of this. Yes, some people will be able to afford it , way too many won't. Sad but true.

Well, it's 25% rent from the business, 25% from landlord, 50% between the province and the federal government. Which I think is a well thought out deal.
