I am seeing big number thrown around for Motte. His current contract is for $1,225,000 per year. Before that he was league minimum. I don't think he would pass on a 3 or 4 year contract @ $1.5 million per year. If he does I would let him walk. I would love to sign him but we have a limited amount of money that can be spent.

We need to dump Nemeth and his salary one way or the other. Love Reavo but we might not be able to keep him. His age was starting to show. If we can free up the salaries from those two it would go a long way in signing 2 of Copp and Motte and Vatrano.

If no one currently with Hartford can grab 3rd pair LD then resign Braun for a year at league minimum.
Jones/Lundkvist should definitely have first dibs on that spot. They were both nearly ready this year.

Because he's been in and out of negotiations and no deal was reached.

His agent was, its gonna be like the Zuc deal only Zuc didn't wanna miss the start of the season, where he calls his agent and says i don't want to leave, guarantee it

Though apparently he was seeking over $2m from Vancouver.

Again.... every penny counts. He can stay here and be good fourth line depth that can move up in a pinch, or he can go cash in. But he's not gonna get a huge deal here.

Copp signs with Detroit. Trouba traded to Detroit. Done!

Crossed my mind that may happen someday

I think it's only appropriate that a Norris Trophy winner use the Chuck Norris-endorsed Total Gym. He can exercise at home and still get a gym-quality workout.
He will be targeted from here on out.

He must get stronger. We can’t afford to lose him

Ok, I'll be serious. Some players definitely need to be physically stronger. But what can the team do to stay healthier as a group if (and hopefully) they go on another deep run? Obviously it depends on a lot of luck at the same time. Every postseason team lost key players and all players get banged up. And, obviously, stop dragging every series to 7 games.

Chris Kreider Break Up Day.

Look, Kreider is who he is. Now, he had an unforeseen 52-goal season, so maybe it's not out of the realm of possibility he can further evolve again. 52-goal Kreider was someone who played within himself, and the optics were he floated around lazily, but that's just the way he thinks he needs to play to be successful. He was an opportunisitic goal scorer. Once the postseason began, all of us were expecting him to turn into a madman and run around and crush people and stuff. He's so strong, he's afraid of himself getting penalized for hockey plays. He never played a strong cycle game as far as I can remember, but maybe this is included in the next iteration of Kreider, who I remind is not going anywhere for a long time.
