I don't envy the task of Drury/Gallant. The kid forwards haven't shown to fit anywhere except as a trio. Meanwhile our biggest issue as a team is that we don't have a matchup Hadfield line. I'm sure Drury will be focused on bringing in the necessary pieces. So it's a mish mash of a puzzle that will be difficult to shape.

I'm hoping that a lot of teams being COVID cap strapped drives that number down.

I like Copp but I'm not against backburner-ing him. Like, go out and see what your number is, and if no one has any money to pay him like Danault, play a little hardball. If someone does want to pay him more, then that's when you play the "But you like it here, give us a small break" card.

And above all as I've said Kakko being re-signed is priority 1.

Overpay on Motte by 1 mill per. He should be around 1.75-2 not 2.75. But the Copp deal would be a miracle. Would help the team big time.
