Yall ever live on a farm? With the amount of field mice around you can either load your house up with poison or get a cat.
i dont, so they are fairly pointless to me. maybe when I get that 10 acres I want. Until then, fire them into the sun.

We got a cat as a pandemic pet. The 4 yr old put her in her carrier, closed the door and let kitty roll down the stairs. We don’t have a cat anymore.*

We do, however, have a new Catahoula pup who, at 45lbs, can hold her own against said 4yr old and also maintain distance from an ornery 12yr old golden retriever/cocker mix.

*PS - Skjei the kitty is living the good life at a friend’s house…

In my neighborhood are hawks. they help keep the bunny rabbits and squirrels under control. And I still see tons of both. My cats are indoor therefore they well don't affect the bird pops
My cat, when i was a kid, that loved to be outside more than inside was a terror to the squirrels. He rarely got a bird.

Kind of unrelated but a fun story for some of you.

Pit bulls have been banned in Denver for years after some political pressure following high profile attacks. I lived with a pit bull for years around this time, and she was the sweetest and most loyal dog I’ve ever had. She only got into two tussles, both with other dogs that were the aggressors until she had enough, turned the table and quickly ended the altercation.

Her only struggle in life was a neighbors cat that roamed the street. The cat would sit on our front porch, casually preening and looking bored in the pit bulls general direction....while the pit lost her mind trying to get at it looking through the window. This cat went out of its way for months torturing the dog. I would shoo it away and it would come back ten minutes later just to sit there licking its paws...every now and again looking over its shoulder to give the dog a bored glance.

One day we found tufts of furr and some scraps of cat in the back corner of the fenced backyard.

Good dog. End of story.

You hit or lose to home with that one…my home. We actually have carpet in our master bathroom….a design choice by the previous owner. That is the bathroom I will be doing next once I learn on the smaller bathroom.
I was just joking! What kind of psychopath actually puts carpeting into a bathroom?

Although it's not the worst bathroom feature I've come across recently. I found this on twitter the other day. This is a real public bathroom that actually exists.
