Yeah it is what it is with Nate. He is a $1.5-2M dman at this point, any buyout savings are found money.we've bought out stuart and wheeler and chevy didn't rule it out when asked about a potential buy out at the end of year presser
Makes you wonder what Chevy could have done with so many top 5 picksOilers not renewing Gm contract.
Jets haven’t even come close to the finals.
12 plus years and Chevy is still around. LOL

Nate gave it his all and picked up his game against the Avs and it clearly just wasn't good enough. Great guy and gave it his all but just not close to worth to price tag now.
The Ottawa Senators are actively exploring trade options for defenseman Jakob Chychrun, setting a high asking price for the 26-year-old, who has one year remaining on his contract with a $4.6 million cap hit and a 10-team no-trade list.
The Senators are seeking a first- and second-round pick or a high-end prospect in exchange for Chychrun
Not sure why the Jets would buy Schmidt out unless they need the cap room
Of all our lefties, he's the most comfortable on the right side. I could see us rolling him and Heinola as the bottom pair
At this point, he's worth having around for bottom pairing/depth and for his smile in the room
Maybe they are trying to trade him but that Wallman deal probably messed up a lot of teams plans
you could go to the main board open any thread and it would be as legit of a rumor as that siteSpeculated trade: San Jose Sharks, Winnipeg Jets Trade Rumor: McGroarty for Ferraro?
SJ / Wpg
The speculated trade framework would see the Sharks sending defenseman Mario Ferraro and their 2025 first-round pick (originally belonging to the Vegas Golden Knights) to Winnipeg. In return, the Jets would receive veteran defenseman Nate Schmidt and, of course, Rutger McGroarty.
I thought it was Holland's decision to go.Oilers not renewing Gm contract.

Seems on the light side. Might be a little closer to the ballpark if it was #14 OA from the Pens for this draft.Speculated trade: San Jose Sharks, Winnipeg Jets Trade Rumor: McGroarty for Ferraro?

Don't think this is a highly trusted site. Sharks have the 14th overall pick (and three 2nds) this year. Given the report that the Jets are looking to get into the 1st something around that first rd pick.Speculated trade: San Jose Sharks, Winnipeg Jets Trade Rumor: McGroarty for Ferraro?

I'm hearing the machinations of a certain professor du ice hockey.
Informal poll - Lets determine whether Chevy would offer up a phat 9.25 to Nurse.Oilers not renewing Gm contract.

mcintyre now on wst saying he's also heard whispers of patrik laine and the jets and said he's heard that laine still has a high regard for winnipeg,
wouldn't really consider them insidersSo 3 Insiders now mentioning Laine and Winnipeg? Interesting. Very, very interesting.
