Yeah I don’t know why he’s stuck where he is. Hallum has hockey iq relatively equivalent to Athanasiou and Eernise is fine but not a top 6 guy on a team like Michigan

Erie (Misiak) and Flint (Hayes) have both been disasters to start the season in the OHL. Particularly for Hayes who is 19 hopefully he can get traded to a good team soon.

Ugh. Honestly I would not be surprised if at the end of the day we have nothing to show for our 4 second round picks this year. Traded one away, goalies are so voodoo, Kansterov is a small, scoring Russian winger (how many of those pan out, KHL is a shit development league) and Misiak who's a high floor low ceiling guy.

Obviously its wayyyy to early to write anyone off but I think we could've done better and taken some swings at high upside (Cristalll, Heidt, Sawchyn, Whitelaw even Perron). Like
i love the Lardis pick, we need more of that. Most great teams have a handful of players in their top 6 who aren't first round picks so we need that value to hit

Erie needs to fire their head coach. They got them playing a very defensive system and guys like Misiak, Carey Terrance (who should be lighting it up right now), Spence, etc. can't use their speed and skill often and shine. But I personally don't think Misiak is quite right after that concussion he suffered in preseason. I've noticed he has still played timid since even in juniors.
