All remaining hamevir games for U.Minn.'Duluth ate now elimination games for theircsessin..

If they lose today's deciding Game 3 of round 1 playoff series with St Cloud State today tgeircseason is over..as they are too far down I the oairwuse rankibgscti get to final 16 in NCAA Regionals .

So today could be Kaiser's final collegiate game IF he decides to turbnpro as soon as season is over ...

However if they cannot advance ,maybe hexdecidesxto go back for anotger crack at tge NCAA championship by playing his Sr. Year next season?

Tge Hawks probably do not want hom to go back forca final year because it risks free agency ...rumour has it he will leave after thisxseason is finished but we shall have to wait and see if this manifests.

Should UMD win today they woukd advance to next week-end's NCHC roubd 2 semi-final single elimination gane..Win that and they get to the NCHC Championship Game. Win that and they get an automatic spot in the NCAA Regionals..Ot is their only oath to get to Tegiobals...must win 3 in a row in these single game eliminations.

Gavin Hayes 2 more goals today for Flint in a 5-1 victory over Oshawa today..1st star of the game...he was +1...

Ethan Del Mastro chipped in with 1a in a Sarnia 6-3 win over Kitchener...but was -1...

U.Minn-Duluth loses 3-1 to St.Cliud State tonight and loses the best of 3 in round 1 of the NCHC playoffs by 2 games to 1 ....so end of UMDs season with this elimination as they are outside of ranking high enough in the pairwise standings to continue into Regionals ...

Wyatt Kaiser may have played his last game in the NCAA if as rumoured he could be turning pro after this,his Junior year ...
Wyatt Kaiser had a secondary assist and Domenic James had the primary assist on UMD's lone goal in this game .

Sam Rinzel has continued to be a stabilizing presence on Waterloo’s blue line all season. It’s rare to find such a combination of size and skating ability in a defenceman, but Chicago has gotten just that in Rinzel. The Minnesota native leverages his long skating stride to create separation from forecheckers in transition before finding an outlet or gaining the zone himself. He’s a huge piece of the Blackhawks’ power play, using deceptive puckhandling to create shooting and passing lanes from the point. Defensively, Rinzel’s long reach allows him to disrupt plays early and deny the blue line, killing rushes and starting transitions the other way. He needs to fill out his frame a bit before he turns pro, but he’s got plenty of time and there’s a ton to love about his game already.

Mildly concerned Landon doesn't sign with us and signs with Sneaky Dubas next year. Dubas signed his brother , although Dubas very well could be in Philly himself If Leafs flounder against Tampa Bay . Come on Landon . Down year but reminds me so much of Hagel.

So what if Dubas signs him as free agent assuming we do nitcsignhim...leaves a contract open for some Collegeville who actually can put pucks into the net or pile up points..

Slaggert is just another guy for 4th liner role..big dralif we do notcsign him..he tigress not improved in scoring this season.. so there is that.. O would not lose sleep over it.

We have energy pests on Sam Savoie and Viktor Stjernborg...if we do not sign Slaggert maybecwe sign Wise..You cannot use that many of that kind of role..

Now sign Jason Polan who can score or McAlister from WesternMishugam if he keavescearky ..now you got some scoring ..

It is notcss if Slaggert is ever goingvto beca big bucks impact star player.. so do not sweat it if we pass on him...might bedifferentbif he had a great season instead of regressing in offensivevimpact.

Ethan Del Mastro 2a (1 primary) +1 tonight and had 7 shots on goal to end if regulation...but Sarnia lost 7-6 to Guelph...it was still 6-6 after OT but Guelph won the game in the shoot-out...

It does show that even a Generational cannot win games by himself if restvof team sucking ..

Update...Regina loses b y9-5 score...Bedardxdid not add any more goals...

Kevin Korchinski 1g 1 primary assist...+2...but he only took 1 shot on goal and both his points came after Seattle already had their GWG lead ...so it seems like he had a more pad the stats type low imoact to game night rather than some kind of impacting difference-maker domination type night.
1 shot on goal is not very noteworthy even though he scored on it and they gave hom 2nd star of the game.
He needs to direct the outcome more not just pad his statsby benefitting from a talented cast around him doing things to impact the game themselves.

Also in the WHL ,Jaylen Luyoen 1g(GWG), E, 4shots on goal in a 3-1 Tri-City win over Spokane...Luypen named 1st starcif the game..
9/18 on draws...

So tiday Hawks have 3 prospects still playong for a Conference Championship...in the Hockey East Final it is Slava Demic for Merrimack vs.Ryan Greene and Drew Commesso for Boston U. .

6 Confrence Champion teans get automatic births in the NCAA Regionals...after these 6,there are 10 spots given to teams with the best paiwise ranking of the teans remaining who did not win their conference Championship.

Boston U. makes the Regionals whether they win or lose today because they still rank high in the pairwise (@#5).. but if #14 in the pairwise(Merrinack) loses they may be out if more than 2 Conference titles are won in upsets by teams ranked below them..

In the Big Ten Final both Michigan and Minnesota are on to Regionals win or lose today.

Its still important steps to take. He needs to take more attempts of shots like this and work that part of his game to be a total offensive threat
