Ok, before migration took it away, I had mentioned that Fightful Select had reported that it has been made known by someone in WarnerMedia with a loud enough voice that they get their way, that AEW is not to sign the Briscoes.

That would be this: WarnerMedia does not want The Briscoes in AEW

The report states the reason why they weren’t going to be used by All Elite Wrestling is due to a person of influence in WarnerMedia not wanting AEW to sign Jay and Mark Briscoe.

The reason for this goes back to the homophobic tweet made by Jay in 2013. He shared a tweet after the Delaware State Senate passed a bill allowing gay marriage that read:

“The Delaware Senate passed a bill yesterday that allows same sex couples to get married. If that makes you happy, then congratulations!!!!!! … try and teach my kids that there’s nothing wrong with that and I’ll f*cking shoot you.”

In 2011, he posted a homophobic remark on Twitter: “Damn theres a lot of f-gs out in New York today #WhatTheF-ck”

Dave says that on Friday Cody vs. Seth Rollins was “still” on the list for Wrestlemania, which is an indication that they expect him to be in but while some people other than Cody or Vince may know, they’re not telling people this backstage.

I know it's not the big story of the day but Sharmell is being inducted into the WWE hall of fame. Is this the worst induction ever? I think so. The HOF is a nice fun ceremony but the actual accolade means nothing.

They have to put a woman in every year and they went however many years treating them like shit so eventually they were gonna get short on names. Without looking I don’t know who else they could put in, except you know who

If Sharmell is the standard here, there are a few others although I don't know how much effort was put into inducing them: Miss Elizabeth, Stacy Keibler, Jazz, Melina, Kelly Kelly.

I can't imagine a Sharmell hall of fame speech. What the hell is she going to talk about?

I wanted Brock to force Vince to induct Sable just to show Vince who's boss.

Cody vs. Seth still the plan for Wrestlemania

Nothing like building a major Wrestlemania match in 2 shows. Luckily, the match should be decent enough, and Cody will likely be allowed to cut a lengthy promo to establish the match.

Still, that's a super rushed program.

I think the idea is that they have room for a 'surprise' much like they did for the Hardys a few years ago, even John Cena, and building it by saying 'Seth has nothing for Wrestlemania!!' There were Cody chants last night and no effort to drown them out

I hope Cody debuts before WrestleMania instead of him being Rollins' surprise opponent where the reveal is at the actual show.

I think they'll look at what's gonna sell more tickets, since last I heard they were having great difficulty moving tickets for both nights.

I would also prefer a debut before the event. Give me a reason to get into the match

Cody isn't going to move tickets. The pop will go much further for everyone. Short of getting Dwayne, they've done all they can do.

Still so many living legends free for them to show up and say hi. Unfortunately.

They’ve built one feud, Roman v Brock. Other than that they’ve not established anything worth a wrestlemania segment

My hopes are that the WWE was going to have Rhodes debut last night to confront Rollins. It would have gave them a three week setup. But my guess is that once they got word that Scott Hall passed away they probably wanted to make the night more about him and not about Cody Rhodes.
