Report from bodyslam.net says talks between Cody Rhodes and WWE have “fizzled out,” with a (one) source saying there was hope about an AEW return.
A rumor making the rounds is that Khan might bring Cody back to run ROH as a separate brand. Obviously if this happens we can expect an " invasion angle " to happen at some point.
I don't see how running ROH on it's own, separate from AEW happens. Just doesn't seem to make sense, why would AEW run a promotion that is not AEW when the reason it was for sale to begin with was because that company was death? They weren't drawing flies.A rumor making the rounds is that Khan might bring Cody back to run ROH as a separate brand. It'll be Pat vs Austin Theory with Vince in his corner.
Where are you reading that? Literally every report is that he has bought every bit of ROH.ROH is a huge get for Tony. 20+ years of shows he owns now is huge. 2004ish-2009ish was the golden era of ROH.
EDIT: Wait, I'm reading Tony only owns footage from 2011-present? Can anyone here confirm this? If this is true, I don't understand this move by Tony at all. No Punk or Danielson footage from ROH

That doesn’t make business sense though, at least without a strategy. It would be doing the same as they do with Dark and Elevation only there are established titles with lineages. You would still run the brand as an AEW-promoted entity. You would just call it and promote it as ‘AEW Ring of Honor’ instead of something else, AEW is the money brand, not ROH.It's essentially Smackdown (or Raw if you prefer) and NXT.
There's a ton of wrestlers on AEW right now that have nothing to do. Having a separate ROH with AEW ties opens up more rivalries, belts, etc.
That's my guess

After Alexa Bliss wasn’t on TV in Columbus (her home town), the belief is that creative has nothing for her at the moment.
Probably because of the Saudi show they got her back up and running. She got a great reaction there. They create weeks of the backstage sessions, big return in Saudi but no plan moving forward? It's not the not having a story, there's only so much tv time and so many women, they can't all have storylines every week or month, whatever, but all the build up to her journey back to Raw, the Saudi show, then potentially no story for her is a waste of time for all parties.
The site migration has really screwed up this place. For some reason I can't post in the AEW thread, so I'll post here instead.
We've seen this time and time again. Someone debuts to a great reaction, the internet/reddit fans go crazy and then a month later Tony seems to forget about them and they're stuck on YouTube. Hopefully Swerve has better fate, but based on a certain factor I'm not expecting him to.

Aka: The specific person I really love hasn't been hot shot to world champ therefore have been buried. Otherwise known as horseshit.
