Which is why he probably is not the right choice to wrestle Seth at Mania. Drew or Sami are easier choices and you can crown Gunther down the road.

Gable couldn't even get a Rumble spot he's not getting Gunther at Mania.

The next IC champ will be someone the management feel is on track to be a main eventer not to far down the road. They don't view Gable like that. Good worker, top technical guy in the ring. Can make others look good. Steve Austin would of called him a mechanic.

Since they let Bron Breakker take Brock's spot in the rumble, would they put him in Brock's spot again vs Gunther at WM?

Honestly I think Breakker is doubtful for that spot. I don't see Gunther dropping the title at "Mania meanwhile I don't think they want Breakker's first big PPV match on the main roster to be a loss the way his character is portrayed. Plus he's got that Wolfdogs thing going with Corbin that looks like found money as they have tremendous chemistry.

May be a dark horse pick but I can see them going with Kaiser. He's developed a ruthless side lately and they could craft a story where Kaiser takes something too far and Gunther steps in as he's all about respect for his great sport and turn Gunther face and give him a face run before he eventually drops the belt later in the year. Imperium has run it's course and the fans deserve a Gunther babyface run as he's so freakin' good in the ring. Gunther walks into WM as a face to face a heel Ludvig Kaiser.

I don’t know why that has to not happen. We saw Seth and Becky hold 2 belts and drop one of them while keeping the other.

I've said it many times. If Okada wants to go to WWE, they should book up to face and beat Gunther at Mania.

You instantly teach the audience Okada is a big deal and the IC belt gets to keep the prestige that Gunther built into it.

SRS and Andrew Zarian both claiming Mercedes has been signed by AEW and are just waiting until after Revolution.
 
It's probably true, but SRS has been saying this for a while with dates, then she isn't there, and we do this again.

I'm really at the point where I'll believe it when she is actually on the show.

If she is showing up in March. I hope Toni has dropped the belt, because her current gimmick feuding with a debuting Mercedes feels like a bad idea.

And the comments online will be "She saw the Jade-Bianca staredown/faceoff at the Rumble and realized she'd be behind those two if she came back". :laugh:
 
They are saying Tony's announcement on Wednesday is likely in regards to Mercedes. Not announcing her signing but probably the show she will be. I mean I get there was a lot of BS reports about where she was going....its kind of obvious at this point where she is going lol

I don't get why SRS won't just outright say she has signed. Also don't know why he kept changing her debut date, but it's gotta be like 99% that she signed an AEW contract weeks ago. It's done.

Would have liked her back in WWE because I wanted that damn four horsewomen fatal 4 way, and i wanted to see her wrestle Iyo, Kairi again, Jade, and eventually Giulia on top of the up and coming NXT crop like Tiffany, but it is what it is.

Her and Deanna will have some great matches and the eventual match with Hayter (whenever she returns) is going to slap too. Hopefully it leads to women getting a lot more time on Dynamite as that's been long overdue.

Plus as a Bayley mark, can't lie I'm a little selfish and a bit glad she is going to get this Mania spotlight all to herself. Mercedes returning and becoming involved with the Damage Ctrl storyline would take the spotlight off Bayley.
 
SRS saying rumors Rossy is heading to WWE. Sounds like rumors he was already trying or succeeding at poaching talent from Stardom.

This story going to be really interesting
 
It's also not guaranteed to be a good thing for Tony because the Stardom he finally gets to work with might not be the one everyone initially wanted.

We already know Giulia is leaving, who else might be leaving as well?

I mean...talent will definitely be leaving but opening that door up is obviously better then having it completely shut prior. I think Stardom is about to be a complete shit show for a minute though.
