I'm just confused by what WON seems to be hinting that Rossy was poaching talent for WWE but isn't going to WWE bound.

Wonder what was in it for him?

Also that story that WWE was trying to build a working relationship with Stardom and how that played into all of this.

Was it them trying to work with Rossy more vs them trying to get something going with Bushiroad?

WON saying there is an expectation of several departures from Stardom in March when contracts expire and a lot of talent is loyal to Rossy.

SRS saying there were a lot of rumors Rossy was angling or attempting to work with WWE over the past week.

As usual TK is high on something or drunk, lol

So if the reports that the talent were as loyal to Rossy as they are saying. This seems like not the wisest course of action by Tony, as whatever Rossy loyalists that remains under contract might not be so keen to want to play nice with AEW.

Best course from him would have been to remain silent.

Somewhere in here is why the Mercedes/Giulia program never happened and why Mercedes never showed up there again.

I'm not understanding why this is a big deal. The wrestlers that the WWE got from Japan (or wherever this is) had their contracts up, right? All this guy did was recruit or suggest they should go to the WWE? Am I missing something?

I would guess part of the issue is Rossy basically telling talent to leave the company while being an employee of said company. Plus Bushi has a working relationship with AEW, not WWE so it makes them look bad.

Also it seems he might be looking to start his own promotion and was planning to take as much of Stardom's current top talent as possible.

It's a much bigger story for the Japanese scene because it has the potential to turn joshi wrestling entirely upside down. Don't think the WWE or AEW parts are really the big parts of this story.

Yeah pretty much. Rossy starts a new female promotion with all the talent loyal to him in Japan and Stardom is left to pick up the pieces and rebuild. Maybe AEW has the ability to help in that send a few of their girls that need work over on an excursion to fill the void that is going to be left behind.

Fukada president of AJPW has said he has fended off recent attempts to buy the company and will continue to do that. Would be a classic WWE move…you can borrow Regals son….we will take the business lmao

This better outlines what we know

I bought a ticket to the show in Philly on wrestlemania weekend, now I wonder if anyone will be there lol

His position, as is often the case, doesn’t make a lot of sense anyway. The only wrestler who has gone from Stardom to WWE since AEW started was Kairi…who had already been in WWE and returned because the opportunity was better now.

Meanwhile…Jamie Hayter, Mariah May and, before she left and went to WWE, Bea Priestly were all Stardom talents that found their way directly to AEW.

There is talk that what Tony is really mad about is not being able to get Stardom talent on shows when he asks…but in pretty much all of those cases Stardom already has talent booked on their shows in Japan and they don’t change cards after announcing talent. It’s like…why won’t everyone bow down to my scatterbrained booking and upend their own shows for me?

IF he thinks Ogawa and the one talent to return to WWE is being a mole…we need to talk about Rocky Romero and the entire New Japan main event scene heading through the Forbidden Door and into AEW contracts.

Or maybe Rossy didn't want his top talent to go to AEW and job out.

It's called Forbidden door, cause loaned talent are Forbidden from winning.

Who at Bushiroad is making this call? Because they could’ve easily just superseded Rossy.

All of the guys who have left NJPW since the companies have been working together are guys who simply didn't want to work in Japan any longer and fielded offers from both WWE and AEW. Heck, the guy the promotion put over Okada to make him a star overnight (Jonah/Bronson Reed) went back to WWE. We still have no idea where Okada is headed. Will say I thought the tweets were ill advised because there was absolutely no upside to it.

If there was ever a time for them to jump in over there it would be now with NJPW taking their recent hits

Dave says the part about Rossy poaching talent forward WWE and blacklisting AEW isn't true.

Which really just raises more questions about what is going on and why Tony took a couple rails and went on twitter to gloat.
