Punk coming back to WWE after Cody in pretty vague terms said Punk was a significant reason why he left AEW will truly be fun to watch unfold.
Alluded to this the other day but to see Punk come back and cut Cody in line for a program with Roman would make the dirtsheets lick their chops.

I know Cody is nauseating but that really wouldn't be right.

He was on the roster at the same time as Roman for like... 6 months?
Yeah, I don't get that.

Likely means HHH, Cena, Brock, Heyman, etc. Who else is honestly still around?

He was backstage at Raw for a bit after Brawl Out, wouldn’t shock me if the seeds for a return were planted then

A lot of the top guys that worked with him over there still like him. I know Taker was speaking highly of him recently. I’m sure he’d have some bridges to repair but I don’t think they’re as irreparable as people want to believe. The wrestling business is exactly that…a business. CM Punk return is huge money for WWE.
Didn't he get kicked out of the building when he was backstage at Raw? lol showed up uninvited looking for a job and got shown out.

Kyle O’Reilly updated his status after neck surgery and due to complications does not have a timeline to return. He had to relearn how to use his right arm after losing all feeling.

I mean he was still under contract with AEW, I’m sure that was a thing. Plus you don’t know the circumstances, maybe he was invited by somebody on the roster or an agent. But yes we can always just assume the worst, I heard he killed a stray cat on the way into the arena too

I mean Ricky Starks has been at shows and was not kicked out....because he was invited. I'm not really assuming anything. He showed up uninvited and was told to leave lol that is what happened. It wasn't some lowkey meeting to discuss his return. He might have wanted that to happen but I somehow doubt that happened before they had him sent out the back door.

Ok you can keep pretending you’re in the know if that makes you feel better. You were practically there!

I mean it happened lol not sure why you are acting like it didn't. Not like this is a story with multiple conflicting reports either it is pretty definitive. He showed up without an invitation, talked to a few people and Vince asked security to remove him and he left without an issue. You trying to use it as some event that somehow mended fences between the two sides is the stretch here. I fully believe Punk is full carny and hypocrite is and has been on board to suck at the teet of WWE. I'm not as convinced that WWE is ready to go for it. Or I guess on Phil's end that he would be satisfied with not being top of the card in WWE. Because he wouldn't be.

I’m saying maybe he was talking to some of the talent that he was probably there to hang out with and getting a vibe on a return, not that he was speaking with Vince or Hunter. I know he got asked to leave. He was probably also there to tweak AEW too given the situation they were in.

But I’m also not speaking like I was there and definitively know everything that happened. But then again I’m not wrestling insider TheBeastCoast so why would I?

My sources tell me that the reason Ricky Starks was allowed backstage was that nobody but Cody knew who he was, and all the WWE officials just thought he was a Make-A-Wish kid that was doing a bad impersonation of the Rock

About 14 months minus a 2-3 month break Punk took after Wrestlemania in 2013.

It's when he said on a podcast that he was being forced to always "Make Roman look strong"

It was during the early day's of Roman's push and apparently Roman always felt it contributed to how badly the crowds reacted to him.

I don't think he appreciated Punk revealing that Roman wasn't originally planned to even be in the Shield. He might have also implied that he didn't think Roman should have gotten that spot either, but I might be badly misremembering that part.

Either way I think the bridge is mended pretty easily and he supposedly has already made up with Miz. It's that HHH bridge that really needs mending

You're talking about when he was on Colt Cabana's podcast right? The one where he basically explained all his issues that led to leaving WWE. IIRC, about Roman, he was talking about the 3-on-1 Shield vs Punk match, where Punk was booked to win but was told to make Roman look strong. He also mentioned that The Shield was his idea I think but he wanted Chris Hero instead of Roman in it.

The only missing part here was that Punk won that match, to which I think he questioned why he didn’t do the job if they were so adamant about making him look strong.

Yeah I remember that. I think the decision to have the Shield lose was to plant some seeds to the eventual Shield break up. I didn't look it up but I'm pretty sure Punk won due to some miscommunication between the Shield members.

strike is back on, btw
To be precise, it was never off. But negotiations have stopped, for now. But supposedly there's internal pressure from some studios already. A Disney Exec told Kris Carr, who is a voice actress and coach,a SAG member and a regular guest on John Campea's show, that a "certain studio wants to start making comic book movies soon". This could take a while to get done or they could continue negotiating next week again. :dunno:

There's a lot of executives at Disney, doesn't have to be a big name. Plus she's got a lot of connections through her SAG membership. She's said a few months ago already that she's got friends working on the Aquaman 2 set and they've seen saying that it's a f***ing mess. And this week reports have come out about it on major trades confirming it: ‘Aquaman 2’ Flooded With Drama: Jason Momoa Allegedly Drunk on Set, Amber Heard Scenes Cut, Elon Musk’s Letter to WB and More The people working on Campea's show have been proven to be connected. He himself has industry friends who have frequently sent him pictures and videos from projects that have yet to come out. I mean he himself got into a mess when he posted pictures of Tobey and Andrew on Spider-Man No Way Home set which he thought were fakes but when told they were real, he deleted them.

Ari reiterated that TKO is very open to moving RAW off Monday's in a new TV deal.

Also blamed Vince having the ability to sell all his stock immediately as the reason the stock has taken a hit.
