Well it's a best of 3 with 2 of the 3 games at home now. Hopefully if some on the team are not feeling well they feel better for game 5 .

Is there an issue with the GAS on this team, it sure has looked that way in St. Louis. Way to many players that don't want to go that extra mile maybe more concerned about their bank accounts. It's not a good look. But folks this series is not over not by a long shot especially with a Jets win on Wednesday after all it's the NHL and anything can happen on any given night. Everyone and I mean everyone better get on the same page.

We were the clear better team until Helle let in the long range point shot and then the team fell apart.

Seems to me it's a group that doesn't have confidence in him right now.

Two blowouts and bad goaltending is not ideal

Positives to take - much better first, much better PK, some strong play from Cole, Barron, JAD
Luke was better than last game
Helle was not


Will home ice advantage and last change actually be something to our advantage?

Once they got a big lead they could juat sit back and force us to dump, which plays right into Binnington's puck handling.

I honestly felt based on the regular season that this year was different but, injuries or not, it is really hard not to hear "I got you babe" blasting out of the radio alarm clock....

brutal f***ing effort. other than line-1 the offense sucks. namestnikov, nino, perfetti, lowry, appleton...just lol. i know i was clamoring for a middle-6F upgrade even when this team was healthy.

when vilardi comes back he goes to line-1 likely, but will iafallo being subbed down improve the offense the other ~40 mins line-1 ain't out there

also this team continues to be shit in protecting & clearing their net. & on the other side i felt we barely ever created havoc or commotion in their grill. Hellebuyck also has not been good for a supposed MVP goalie. i know for me the 4 Nations tournament instilled a glimmer of hope for me but probably read in that way to much even if it was just a mere glimmer.

Man wtf the last 2 games.

Anyway, what do you think is the issue with Hellebuyck in the playoffs? He seemed to play well under pressure at Four Nations. Is he just drained by the end of the season? Do you think we see Comrie next game? What’s your favourite place to get pizza?

If the Jets had lost both games #3 and #4 by scores of 4-3 or in O.T., the series record coming home would still be 2-2, BUT I would have confidence in us still winning the series.

But we didn't just lose these games. Other than maybe 15 minutes in the 1st period today, we didn't even show up. Hell, you could wonder if the Jets even got on the plane to St. Louis.

St. Louis's coach has come up with the best game plan to beat the Jets... Shoot High, Hit High, and get decent goaltending.

So, is it over? I don't want it to be, but I I think it is.

Well, as I've said at various points throughout the season, It was tough for me to buy in in spite of all the winning. But even so this is pretty damn dissappointing. The series isn't over, but I'll be surprised if we get to game 7 and even more so if we get to round 2.

I got consistently lambasted for setting out my concerns during the season. Heck, I was accused of being a leaf fan. The past 2 games are proof of all my and seems your concerns coming true. We will see if this team has a heart or if they continue to crumble.

There's no way Arniel starts Comrie in Game 5, even though he should.

If this was any other team, and their starting goalie had a 0.817, that goalie wouldn't see the ice again. Especially if they had a 0.870 in the previous 2 Playoffs.

The problem is, Chevy didnt get a backup with playoff experience, despite fully knowing Hellebuyck struggled in the playoffs.

When we grabbed Comrie, I brought up the fact that the very scenario we find ourselves in now could happen. And I was dumbfounded by the signing. Felt Bucky needed better support in case he didnt showup for this years playoffs. I got chastised for it.

Starting Comrie likely means Helly asks for a trade in my opinion. Who knows what is going on internally with the Jets but it is not good.

Helle is a positional goalie, not reactionary. I’m no goalie expert, but I believe a positional goalie relies on good D. For the umpteenth time, our league leading D has collapsed in the playoffs. This means our positional goalie gets lit up when he doesn’t have the spidey sense necessary to make up the difference.

Also doesn’t help when our offence is non-existent, so we aren’t making the other team work in their defensive zone or providing any goal support.
