This quote from Big Swole's podcast hit me right in the feels. She is talking about her young daughter watching wrestling:

"She would say, 'Mommy, there is nobody that looks like me on AEW. There's nobody that looks like daddy.' Then she started watching WWE because she saw Bianca and Big E. She saw herself represented. If that wasn't a 'click.' 'You are absolutely right. I don't have an explanation.' It's 2021. Why are people saying, 'it'll take three years for AEW to have a black champ'? "

Having seen her quote for the first time it comes across as she was butt hurt that her contract wasn't renewed and tried to drum up some publicity for herself. It can lead to such an unproductive discussion. By making that comment she is marginalizing all of the other forms of minorities for the sake of wanting a black champion. Japanese doesn't count, transgender native-american doesn't count, latino doesn't count. The company has had champions for 2 years and 4 months. Black wrestlers and/or commentators appear on the vast majority of shows. After Wednesday there will be a black champion unless Thunder Rosa interferes in the match.

Previously I mentioned that TK is free to comment on her criticism (but probably shouldn't have said anything) and should not have taken the shot at her wrestling abilities.

the transgender Native American also happens to be black as well, if anything Swole’s division is the one you ABSOLUTELY can’t make that claim that she’s making

Oh Jesus now Lio Rush has jumped on it.

Why people still employ that guy is beyond me. He exposed himself when he was pissing and moaning about how it was racist that he was having to pay his dues as a rookie in WWE... Right around the same time the story came out about Roman having to finally tell Aleister Black to stop cleaning the locker room.

meh he put out a tweet today which suggested everything’s been smoothed over

also wouldn’t shock me if he’s tight with Cedric Alexander and Swole, probably took offense to the Tony Khan jab at Swole’s ability. Which was incredibly petty and unnecessary so I get it.

Drew McIntyre may have been working with a neck issue, as they ran an angle last night to write him off. I know some thought he was being positioned for a program with Roman either for or right after Wrestlemania.

damn. Credit to him for working the match last night and moving as well as he did. It wasn’t the best match but a perfectly fine big man match.

He's been working twice on the house shows too, including street fights with Sheamus

PCW Ultra canceled their Jan 28 anniversary card. Venue canceled all events through June. Bummed that I will not be meeting The Lariat. Props to PCW Ultra for prompt notification and refund upon announcement.

For sure, I’m a bit soured on Drew… but if he can take time off and come back with a different gimmick, it would be great. Guy just needs to be an ass kicker, not some sword dork.

have hated the sword from day 1. Unless you’re gonna use it, which cannot happen for many reasons, you shouldn’t have it

Pro-wrestling world reacts to Tony Khan...

OK, he named 7 people that won on tv in a month. How many tv matches did they have in December? 3-4 per Rampage, 8-10 on Dynamite? So let's call it 50 or so.

7 wrestlers in 50 matches, so 15 percent

Care to guess at the percentage of population by race?

These stats are useless.

Did Tony Khan run over your dog or something? You really focus a whole lot of energy on burying him and AEW, quite frankly it’s not very healthy. Why don’t you talk about literally anything else?

Posts anything remotely negative about WWE.

AEW?

I only write, I don't read.
Well you should, you could craft your shtick better. I’m happy to respond to WWE stuff if he or almost anybody else watched it instead of only ever talking about ratings and Tony Khan
