Matt Hardy and Brian Last are going at it on twitter which has of course resulted in Corny and Dave going after each other
Calling Brian Last a lowlife parasite would be an understatement. His specialty is collecting dirt on his friends and when they have the inevitable falling out he releases it publicly. My favorite Last moment was when he was on Corny's podcast ripping the WON for not voting Benoit out of the HOF when the guy who at the time made the most impassioned argument not to remove him was in fact Cornette.

I don’t think Matt Hardy should be in the ring anymore but man, those guys are being so shitty to him from what I’ve read.

I met Matt in 2014 and he was such a nice guy.

Ugh, now I have to listen to Last go on one of his boring rants on their next podcast. Corny and his many rants are entertaining at least.

EDIT: Read the exchange between the 3 and well....Hardy did start it.

Cornette cracks me up. He’s a total geek but he makes me laugh with how other the top he is and how much he absolutely can’t stand AEW.

Matt poked the hornets nest on that one, can’t say he didn’t ask for it!

wild that he thinks his stuff is still good. I’m sure he’s a great vet to have backstage but his in-ring has been shit for awhile. And it should be! Him and his brother work like they’ve been in 1000 car wrecks and it’s because they did A LOT of crazy shit 20 years ago. Matt would be better off as an agent these days.

Let's be honest, Jim and Brian engage when wrestlers call them out because it draws a lot of views on all of their platforms. Their fans love hearing Jim burying someone.

100%, they know what they’re doing
They sure do and they do contradict themselves quite a bit... like all shock jocks.

For example, Jim has been shitting on Omega for years because of stuff that Omega did (wrestling kids and the blow up doll). He has been hypercritical of all of his matches and never gives him praises for being a great wrestler within the modern style of wrestling... until very recently. Now that he thinks Moxley sucks more, he gives some praise to Omega saying that at least he looks like an athlete and performs like an athlete.

I guess that would be closer to his real opinion of Omega than what he has been saying in the last few years. I am sure he is honest when he says he does not like his style, but I think he is smart enough to recognize the talent.

I get some of his Mox criticism, but he goes WAY overboard by calling him the worst wrestler on the planet.

I can't with Cornette and Last. It's not just hating AEW, they seem to hate all of modern wrestling outside a select few acts. Well Corny does at least as he loves Punk and I think he likes the Bloodline stuff. He hates women's wrestling though because he is an out of touch scum bag

Last legit hates everything and pines for the days of the territories despite not being around for them.

They don't even watch any of the shows they review. They fast forward through 90% of the shows.

As much as I dislike Dave and Bryan, they at least watch the shows.

Corny and Least are massively out of touch. Last is way worse though. Dude is a joyless f***. Corny at least has some good stories occasionally and can be funny

Matt Hardy is a scumbag too, but that's a whole other story

I bet nobody here thought that Julia Hart would be the last member of the " Varsity Blonds " still in AEW. :amazed:

from today's pwinsider.com:

Brian Pillman Jr.'s AEW deal has expired, PWInsider.com has confirmed with sources.

We are told currently, the deal will not be renewed and the second generation star, 29, has exited the company.

We are told the door remains open for Pillman and AEW to possibly work together again in the future. He last wrestled for AEW in May on several House Rules live events.

I think that's a mistake by AEW. He showed potential and has name value amongst wrestling fans.

Julia with a top tier business decision pushing for herself to get away from a dead gimmick. Good for her, she has a lot of potential.

Didn't Griff Garrison return not too long ago (albeit for an ROH show)?
Who the hell are you to question anything I write here........but I'll let it go for now since you are 100% correct. I thought Garrison was still out with an injury but he did make his return earlier.

Griff Garrison Returns to the Ring

During the latest taping of ROH content, Garrison made his return and challenged Lee Moriarty. Unfortunately for the returning wrestler, Garrison came up short in his comeback match. This match also marks Garrison's first match for Ring of Honor since Tony Khan's purchase of the promotion in March of last year. Prior to this week, his most recent match for ROH had been in February 2020 and his most recent pay-per-view match was at ROH Final Battle Fallout in December 2019.

Pillman didn’t have a character really. He needed a heel run, but people saw him as the lesser half of the varsity blonds

His best work was in MLW as part of the Hart Foundation as a cocky heel. I think for younger wrestlers with charisma / confidence issues being a heel can be a lot easier. In AEW he was a white meat baby face. Hard to get over like that if you lack the rizz (as the kids say)

That'd be an interesting set up. I saw an NXT show in a theater once which was a unique configuration.

Only house show I’ve ever been to was an NXT show at the Tower Theater, think it was 2016. It’s weird to run a theater venue because of the confines.
