Earlier this week, top Stardom star Utami Hayashishita was photographed training with WWE star Natalya and IYO SKY.

Utami is currently on a trip to the United States, which included her making her Stateside debut for GCW, as well as her and Sumie Sakai being in attendance at this week’s NXT show.

In an update from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Utami was scheduled for a visit to the WWE Performance Center at the invitation of IYO SKY.

Also in that article:

Another wrestler who made an appearance at the WWE Performance Center this week was Brian Pillman Jr, who recently departed AEW due to contract expiry.

Matt Hardy is still going on about Cornette on twitter. Now he is claiming he stopped being friends with Jericho because he was in the Canadian stampede match.

Which isn't true as it's widely known Corny turned on Jericho because Jericho was pushing that Covid was a hoax and his wife was involved in the January 6th coup attempt.

Corny is out of touch and his views on women's wrestling are gross, but Hardy is just a flat out liar.

Hardy’s an enabling scumbag who has poisoned his own brain with drugs to the point of rot. His wife sucks too. Old enough to remember Reby mocking Ashley Massaro’s death. Massaro’s young daughter was not happy.

The fact Hardy thinks he has the moral high ground on anybody is insane. Congrats Matt, you almost got your addict brother and innocent people killed just because you were a dying act and needed to reunite the Hardy Boyz for your own benefit!

I am going to #delete #delete #delete my sentiments that he’d be a good agent because that’s wrong, he’s clearly just an idiot. Waste of money, waste of a roster spot.

1. How are Corny's views on women's wrestling gross. He basically holds them up to a high standard and will call out what he feels is subpar

2. Matt Hardy to me is at fault for this. He basically could have complimented the Bucks without taking a dig at Cornette's fans(and that's how this started)

I usually enjoy listening to Cornette, but outside of a few acts, his views on women wrestling are cringey.

More on the Callis incident.

from f4wonline.com:

Bryan Alvarez is reporting that there was a post-show press conference where Kenny Omega was confronted by Don Callis, leading to an angle where Omega was attacked by Konosuke Takeshita, continuing their AEW feud. As security was breaking up the fight, that was when a fan attacked Callis from behind.

“Everything was an angle up to that point, but then a fan who was apparently upset about what Don had said to Kenny jumped Don from behind, ripped his suit, concussed his eardrum and busted open his mouth while he was trying to choke out Don from behind,” Alvarez said. “ Don was screaming profanities at the fan before he was pulled off, and was said to be livid afterwards.”

Callis’ neck and ankle were both injured in the attack and is heading to San Diego for medical attention. Alvarez reiterates that the situation was “absolutely not a work”.

The obvious question here is how a fan was allowed to be close enough to do that at a press conference?

The video is better at the 3:00 minute mark. If you go earlier in the video Callis actually pushes away someone that appears to be media then another seemingly media member goes after Callis, possibly because he didn't realize it was a work or possibly as retaliation for pushing the other media member. Given the way Callis was wrestled down it's hard to be believe he had injuries, certainly no major ones, unless he was attacked another time by someone else.

from wrestlinginc.com:

The voice of Ring of Honor has not been lost. At least, not contractually for the next few years.

Following his appearance on the July 15 episode of "AEW Collision," ROH commentator Ian Riccaboni signed a new contract with All Elite Wrestling that will see him behind the desk for the foreseeable future. According to Fightful Select, this new multi-year deal will see the announcer continue his play-by-play duties at his home promotion, as well as sub in for Kevin Kelly and Excalibur whenever they're unavailable. For example, he filled Kelly's position on the recent broadcast due to the veteran's commitments to New Japan Pro Wrestling and he will continue to do so for at least the next four episodes.

The report shared that Riccaboni received high praise from fans and his AEW co-workers during "Collision." Since his original contract was among the last to carry over after Tony Khan's acquisition of the company in March 2022, they also say that he was originally in line to have the gig full-time on AEW's newest show when it was first conceived. However, he prioritized spending time with his family instead and has largely called the weekly HonorClub broadcasts remotely. That's when he recommended Kelly for the "Collision" job alongside Nigel McGuinness.

Riccaboni first joined ROH in 2014 and he's become an integral part of the brand since then. Outside of ROH and AEW, the announcer has also lent his voice and insights to NJPW and Impact Wrestling.
