I cringed when I saw Chiarot-Copp-Tarasenko out there in OT. Amazed we survived to win.

Honestly I'm gravitating towards Tarasenko being at the top of the list of guys I want gone.

Guy was sick and you analyze him after that?

He has been bad yeah, through the year, but also those flu bugs etc.

Not easy year for him.

The first line had a great game. Albert was outstanding. You can see teams fade away from Ed's side already, but they aren't gaining much going to Albert.

Really hope there's nothing serious with Ed after blocking that shot. That guy takes so many pucks to the feet. Have to wonder why they can't find a way to pad the outside of those boots a bit.

Yeah, he needs to ask Homer what he used to pad up for net front...Ed's taken a few nasty one already this year.

Good to see Al-Jo holding own and then some...have a somewhat functional top 4 makes a day and night difference on a team. I think SY will be trying to hand out some mid-season bridge type contracts after the Cap announcements and before the TDL in a few weeks for his RFA's he wants to keep. (Similar to Ras a couple of years ago)

After JV and JB recent contract runs, be interesting how many will want to bet on them selves for the rest of the season, and which ones just sign up now.

There's various "shot blockers" you can put over your skates but I don't if there's any NHLers using them.

I don't know if they legitimately hinder something in a player's skating as a reason not to wear them, or if it's just a function of them not being "cool" at the pro level.

Kronwall used to wear them at the end of his career.

I think the math for NHLers is... do I want lighter skates 99.9% of the time, or do I want protection that .1%? It's a risk, but they don't want to add any unnecessary weight to every single stride.

Can't believe f***ing Isles had 6W in a row or 9 from 11. But Wings had won all 3 Isles games at begin of season - we like it...very nice! :thumbu:

They have skate guards and players do use them.

Brad Stuart used to wear these, too. One time, his skate protector got knocked loose during a play, and he stopped to try to fix it while he had possession of the puck. It was probably the only time I've ever seen a player try to fix his equipment when he had the puck, except for something small like adjusting a helmet. I think it was during the Montreal game 15ish years ago when Stuart ended up with ten shots. He seemed to have the puck all night.

Split the next 2 (at Calgary/Vancouver back to back nights), then beat the Kraken on the road and Tampa at home...would go into the 4 nations break with a ton of momentum.
That TB game looks rough. 3 days off then 1 game before a 2 week break? Guys may not be fully checked in for that one

I wish someone would make a gif of that Nurse dive. It was pretty incredible.

And I would post it in every thread his name is mentioned. Or about the Oilers not getting calls. lol

Kinda glad it’s not against someone like SJ. I think with how tight they are in standings it will be a lot easier for them to lock in

Double shift Shine time.

Dude did his job and had a nice hit. I'd play him over Motte.

GAME: As said by all, what a comeback. Lyon had to be huge (and he was) but some beastly play by those that need to be just that.

I really do not want to chime in negatively on any players after this win, I just hope Shine keeps getting slotted into the line-up.
