Yessir.
It's a risky move more so than a strong move. Heck, both Miller and Ott are pending ufas. Unless the Blues win the cup, or re-sign both or minimally Miller, they've lost this trade by a mile.
If Buff got that much in return for 2 pending ufas, could you imagine what they'd be asking for Ehrhoff???
Yikes!!!
True, but I'm thinking Miller gets a contract in his hands as soon as he steps off the plane. With that trade they had better re-sign him. But I don't see why he wouldn't agree, there won't be a better team after his services than the Blues.
It's a ballsy move that's for sure and they paid a premium to get it done. Time will tell but to me, Miller is better in goal and Ott is gonna find a way to contribute even if he isn't scoring, unlike Stewart who in my opinion isn't much of a loss.
Probably a First round pick, and a good high end prospect.
Maybe a future pick as well. Buffalo will probably get it too.
O snap I passed 10k posts and didn't even notice it.
Yep. He's signed for a logn time too so it's not a rental.
Muzzin+Pearson+1st, possibly higher, since lots of teams in the mix I'm sure.
I don't know, if I had a choice, I still think I'd go for the LW first.

This entire board is all in on Ehrhoff! Get it done Dean!!!

No, Lombardi's smarter than that. He's not going to overpay for a dman, when we have greater need.
Best part about this trade is the Kings are done playing the Blues this year.
Our defense is going to look real different this summer. Might as well fill a huge hole right now.
I am about fed up with people saying Halak and Miller are equal.
What huge hole? I'm pretty certain we won a cup with the same "huge hole". Like I said, Lombardi doesn't overpay, and acquiring Ehrhoff would require overpayment.
