Really? ****ing really?? What has Myers done since his rookie season except regress? Voynov has a down year and all of a sudden he should be dealt? Gotta love this time of year.

I don't really get the Myers fascination. Voynov was a stud during the Cup run and people seem to forget this is his first full season in the NHL. He's the real deal and is simply going through growing pains. He's only 24!

Slava is just painful right now, turnover machine, terrible on the PP, very little PK time, no goals in the last 45 games.

Dumpster fire.

There is always going to be a fascination with a guy like Myers, you can't teach his size and skating. Buffalo would get a lot more than Voynov if they ever put him on the open market, someone would overpay.

FWIW, I'm not saying we should deal VV, because of his down year. But Myers is going to cost at least a VV, whether you agree with it or not. Myers is a big guy who can skate and play hockey. There is a hefty price to pay for that.

How many 6'8 dmen are there in the league?

How many 5'11 dmen are there in the league?

Myers has 8 goals to Slava's 3 and they're close in points with Slava 23 and Myers 20.

Chillax, sorry I don't know how to do sarcasm emoticons.

It's lateral at best. Myers would be a true beast tho if learned how to really use his size ala Chara.

Myers is a overpaid 2nd pairing defensman (overpaid) who plays a soft defensive game. I highly doubt Lombardi would consider trading Voynov for Myers.

Me thinks we're setting ourselves up for a disappointing deadline.

2013 had Drewiske to Montreal and Regehr for 2 2nd's.

Not a lot of big moves under Lombardi.

You post it like its a DL thing. When it reality most GM's "don't make a lot of big moves".

Wasn't my intent at all. Just saying that deadline days are usually boring as a Kings fan. Both Taylor and Lombardi had their share of big and little deadlines.

Voynov for Myers straight up is a lateral move at best.

The only way I see Voynov to Buffalo is if we're getting a package of players back, obviously adding to Voynov with picks/prospects.

Voynov is signed long term, is a young right handed D (highly coveted), and has a lot of value around the league despite his slump this year.

I heard the VV thing from a buff player and didn't hea anything about how we felt about it other than the obvious value issues. They can want him all they want.

During the hockey game Odonnell didn't think the Kings would do anything major and believed they like the team makeup as it is

Luongo's name has popped up again in the rumor mill. The Canucks are such a ****ing joke of an organization. Poor Lou. I really feel for the guy.

Come on, hasn't Lack only allowed one goal in regulation in the past 2 games? The new, big thing in Vancouver. This is the reason Vancouver is a goalie graveyard. The fans, followed quickly by management, turn on them.

Just had a wild idea. Skinner and Bellemore for Voynov and Clifford? Our d would suffer a lot though and we'd have to move multiple prospects (Vey and Pearson) to nab a Voynov replacement.

Skinner is a RW and worth more than Voynov.

Some Canes fans want to move him for Josi, who's fairly comparable to Voynov. If he's strictly a RW, even though he's listed as a center, move Williams for a LW.
