Speculation: All Purpose LA Kings 2013-14 Trade Speculation/Rumors Part IV

The Flames have offered Cammy a contract. I didn't expect him to move anywhere.

Cammy looks happy in Calgary.

Also don't think Ryan Miller is going anywhere, they will move Miller at the draft after he declines to resign.

This deadline is going to be a huge bust, due to no seller's again.

Moulson is probably too expensive knowing Buffalo, they are probably asking an outrageous price.

Same for Vanek, most likely too pricey for Dean.

Nope, nothing at all. You have to be content with speculation on this thread.

Then again, there is still a week to go. The only hot topic right now is Callahan out of New York, and those rumors do not involve the Kings.

Just cause a contract has been offered does not mean it is signed. Cammy is all about the money does not matter if he is going to win a cup. If Calgary pays he will stay
 
EDM is not going to eat Gagner salary, so that deal is not going to happen.

Also Mactavish wants high end picks, LA doesn't have any.
 
So a few notes from the mayor on west coast bias, he says moulson is a pure rental for la he won't resign with us for whatever reason.also he predicts justin williams will be traded by the deadline which may explain why he is back on the 1st line.we can roll carter/toffoli/brown 123 on the rw. (My opinion) but no idea foe whom we would trade williams.just some food for thought.discuss, thoughts?
 
Williams would be the Best player in any trade due to age. No team is going to give up a legit top six assest for Justin Williams.

You would get a project prospect and a pick, which would not help the Kings current scoring woes, and remove their third best scorer over the last Four years.

I don't consider the Mayor a legit source for trade rumors. He is often wrong on any trade rumors Kings related.

It doesn't make any sense for the Kings to trade J-Dub, also Williams name has not popped up in any rumors over the last four years(from legit sources TSN ETC).

Also Williams Cap hit is Excellent on a Cap strapped team. Doesn't make any sense all around.

Justin Williams is the type of player you move, when your team wants draft picks to help with a rebuild. That's not the Kings

I still think the best move for us to make is on the back end. Our D is fragile at best, Doughty needs a partner. Gio from the Flames perhaps? Who are lefties on D that we could bring in?

Gio is my dream partner for Drew. It will not happen though as Calgary will not and should not be moving him.
 
On thing I see helping us is williams for a re signed girardi, gio, or max patch.may have to add a small + to the gio or patches.I'm not sure.just passing along what I heard.apparently "sources" within the kings org. Know they have to move a core piece to get what they need to win now and they may have to do it soon to win now.williams being rhe most expendable piece.he also said fans wouldn't like that well duh.don't shoot the messanger here.

Justin Williams will not return any of those players. He is on the wrong side of 30 years of age.

That is the biggest pipe dream of uninformed Kings fans of the decade.

It would have to be a player like Slava, to even sniff those guys.

It would need to be a deal like Slava/Pick+Vey or Toffoli/pearson.

Why would any of those teams trade a productive, young, signed top player, for Justin Williams ?


I found it humors that Kings fans are so quick; to run the Kings third best scorer in the last four years, and best possession winger out of town. On a team that has trouble scoring too boot.
 
St. Louis pretty much confirms he had talks with Yzerman about his future in Tampa Bay. Sounds like he wants out.

I'd easily offer up Justin Williams and Tanner Pearson as starting points to land St. Louis, who is signed through 2015.

That is a realistic proposal, age is similar also is contract. But for me, that's a push really.

Williams is on pace for career normal production, he is not the problem with Kings scoring.

The Kings need Dustin Brown/Slava/Richards to come out of their funks. Or a trade is not going to matter.

I don't get the Giardi talk he is RHD. We already have voynov, and doughty locked up.
Williams + for Patches would be epic.
I do not see any deal makes sense for the Flames with Gio.

Montreal would not trade Patches for Williams+. They would want Slava+.

That's a pipe dream Kings fans need to stop dreaming about.

Definitely not uninformed, just williams holds way more value than tou are expressing.he is what 32 on a fair contract and most importantly is a productive part of 2 different Stanley cup winning teams and is a known commodity come playoff time any team rebuilding or fringe contenders would gladly take williams.as I stated I wasn't sure on exact value regarding gio and patches and also stated kings would have to add.where you come up with uninformed is beyond me, I have been following the kings and hockey for over 20 years sinces I was 8.its called opinions as neither you nor I know how valuable any of these players are to GMs league wide.thanks for your input though I appreciate it.

I don't know about patches, but if we are making a trade, Williams seems the most logical to leave. He's old, and he's not too hot without Kopitar. So if we are a upgrading offense, it would be Williams +

There is not a single legit rumor that the Kings are even interested in Moving Williams, hasn't been ever since he arrived an LA King.

It makes no sense for the Kings, and it wouldn't make any sense for MTL to trade Patches for Williams.

In all my years of watching hockey, I can't recall a single GM, trading a legit 30G scorer in his middle 20's on a good contract; for someone over 30 that is similar productive.

IT DOESN"T happen, unless that person in their 30's is a PPG player.

Value wise I think Williams, Clifford and Edmonton's 3rd for Pacthes is pretty fair. but I still do not think Montreal does it.
