at the current rate vancouver has to buy out jt miller.I would think the Palat signing puts a nail in the coffin to Miller to a NJ trade.

If I’m Pitt, I’d offer Marino + 2 2nd rounders. Not sure you even need the retention.
Of course it does. They'd have all of the elements - top defenders, good center depth, excellent goaltending, and a real scorer on the wing. But I've seen plenty of JT Miller in the east, and ... well, I just don't know if he's suited for the style of play. Tarasenko, otoh...The islanders. That doesn’t make them a playoff team.
The rejected offer of 1st Lundqvist Chytil is better than that. Why would Canucks take that for Miller.
Miller wouldnt be a Canuck today if all it took was a #2/3 Dman and a couple of 2nd rounders to get him.
Heck you can argue the Canucks wouldnt even be getting a profit on their original investment of
1st and 3rd that they traded to Tampa to get Miller originally.
A few other additions that could involve Miller's return:3 things that might involve Miller.
1. I find it hard to believe that Boston will not be more aggressive on possibly the final year of Bergeron especially with injuries to Marchand and Mcavoy.
2. Washington isnt going to waste an Ovi year especially when he is chasing Gretzky's record. No Backstrom.
3. Lou Lam is in his last year of his contract, new building, missed playoffs, missed out on Gaudreau and other big name free agents. He isnt going to just ride off into the sunset, he is going to make a big splash before summer is over.
It doesn’t. The East has gotten a lot better around the NYI. A trade for Miller won’t make them any sort of threat to anything other than maybe a 8th seed.Of course it does. Not more convincing the second time. Just the same.It doesn’t. The East has gotten a lot better around the NYI. A trade for Miller won’t make them any sort of threat to anything other than maybe a 8th seed.
If you’re an islanders fan, bless your fan heart. Not more convincing the second time. Just the same.
Uh, what now?at the current rate vancouver has to buy out jt miller.
I dunno, watching that little exchange, you're the one that's coming off as desperate. If you’re an islanders fan, bless your fan heart.
If you’re an increasingly desperate Vancouver fan…. Lol… you’re trying too hard.
I’m just someone that realizes JT Miller doesn’t have nearly the value or market Vancouver was hoping he had. It’s amusing to watch this unfold and see this levels of acceptance wash over the Vancouver fan base.I dunno, watching that little exchange, you're the one that's coming off as desperate.
Seriously though, did you get ghosted in Vancouver or something? Mugged? Did an ex leave you to move here? I can't figure out what the chip on your shoulder is.
That offer isn't there anymore. The Rangers aren't an option anymore. Also your source tweet for offers like that still being there said "probably." It was pure speculation, not sourced material at all.The rejected offer of 1st Lundqvist Chytil is better than that. Why would Canucks take that for Miller.

This Canucks fan would accept that. I think Washington is the most natural fit. The Nucks have about $500k in cap space if I’m not mistaken and this proposal would put us a bit over. We’d need to make one other move to make the cap work.Caps fan here. Still willing to offer Eller+CMM+1st+ another piece for Miller at 50% retained with an extension in place.
I don’t think that there is a better deal out there. Willing to include another prospect and/or draft pick for retainment if need be.
I'd argue Marino+Pouliot+Pens 1st for an unretained Miller beats that offer. Eller means nothing to us, he is a cap dump for a team with so many forwards, and Marino is coming from a position of need. Iorio would probably get within striking distance of the Pittsburgh deal, which to be honest is less than I'd want to accept for Miller.Caps fan here. Myers for Matthews?Muzzin for Miller?
How is that the same?Myers for Matthews?
How was yours not meant to be flaming? How is that the same?

Not having a comparable RHD to play now hurts any offer the Capitals could make, but your willingness to go four pieces and the better prospects would help mitigate that. I'd be looking at Iorio+McMicheal+Washington's 1sr for Miller, and what ever is considered an appropriate add for retention and/or a cap dump if needed.
