But even so, how could I invest in it like I did this team? It would be a brand new team having to start from ground zero. We'd lose all our draft capital. We'd lose our front office. We'd lose our coaching staff. We'd lose our amazing scouting department. We'd lose all of the dynamic young talent in Cooley, Guenther, Doan, Maccelli, etc., as well as all of our deep prospect pool. Hell, we'd even lose Stan f***ing Wilson.

By 2027, I'll be too old to want to start a 20-year journey to relevance. f*** that noise. If this is what happens, then all the rest of you younger fans can strap in and get ready for the long hike. Imma peace out on that shit.

How is this different (financially) than his casino dealings? It's a bolder step and having to deal with the way AZ does things, but after it's all done, he'll be making substantial money just like he did with his other enterprises.

The expansion rumor makes absolutely no sense imo. I can’t see the NHL giving AM another shot if he sells the team. It’s either auction success, Ishbia last minute buys the team, or relocation. I don’t see a scenario where Arizona gets an expansion team in the near future imo.
