Good thing is 4 of them are well within the reach of the 1st and 14th picks, so 2 out of that bunch would not be that bad.Nah, we’re just going to have to figure out a way to land all five of them.
And it’s not unreasonable that Elick is there at 33.Good thing is 4 of them are well within the reach of the 1st and 14th picks, so 2 out of that bunch would not be that bad.
The guy is 6’0”, almost 200 lbs., did ten pull-ups and excelled in VO2 max. He could go back but he’s physically ready for the NHL.Do you guys think this answer…
Celebrini, on how going back to college could help his game:
It would just give me a little bit more time to develop. There’s nothing wrong with just taking your time and improving a little bit more, getting stronger, getting bigger, and faster. In those ways, another year would benefit me, just to get more physically ready. Make sure I’m very fit and strong when I try to make that jump.
…suggests that there’s a real chance of him staying for another year?

He also said that he wants to improve on “everything”. I think he’s just a humble guy who isn’t getting ahead of myself. Bedard said “if I make the NHL” before camp last year, as though there was any chance at all that he’d get cut.Oh, I agree, this answer just sounds like it’s a thing he’s seriously considering. Then again, I don’t really know if it was one part of an answer where he continued to then talk about playing in the NHL, etc.
Sub 6 feet… uh oh…
We’re doomed!I checked the results from last year. Willie is also 5'11.75'' which is funnier to me than it should be.

There's a big difference between 6'2 and 6' that goes beyond just height. That's hilarious he was listed that generously.Zeev Buium comes in at 6’0” even. As expected. That 6’2” listing was always hilarious.
When I put myself in his shoes it made more sense. He's will be 18 and a sophomore at BU as the #1 pick. He's going to be a celebrity even more than he was, and it may be likely that he didn't get to fully enjoy everything college has to offer when he was 17. Plus his buddy is going to play there next year.Oh, I agree, this answer just sounds like it’s a thing he’s seriously considering. So heights that I’ve seen confirmed so far:
Celebrini: 5’11.75”
Levshunov: 6’1.75”
Dickinson: 6’2.75”
Catton: 5’10.25”
Buium: 6’0”
Lindstrom: 6’3”
Parekh: 6’0.25”
Iginla: 6’0”
Brandsegg-Nygard: 6’0.75”
Silly but fun “out for dinner” rumors:
Celebrini: SJ
Levshunov: only Chicago
Helenius: Utah, amongst others
Lindstrom: Columbus, Montreal
Sennecke: Utah, Columbus, not Montreal
Dickinson: Montreal, not Columbus
Iginla: Montreal
I have a feeling Utah takes Sennecke at 6. Another big toolsy player who hasn't filled out yet like But and Simashev. So heights that I’ve seen confirmed so far:

The more combine results I see, the more I feel like Emery was an athlete designed in the lab. 6’3” but has a wingspan of 81”, insane vertical jump, good bench press and everything else, but is extremely lean with a lot of room to add muscle on his frame. The rare combo of “guy who owns the combine” and “raw, physically immature athlete”.With the results he is putting up at the combine, unfortunately, it is becoming more and more unlikely that Emery will be there at 33. A few teams drafting in the second half of the 1st round should be loving him and his strong defensive game.
Ah well, maybe Badinka will still be there at 33. Skahan at 42 and I'll be happy.
I could see it. Their current NHL forward group is pretty tiny between Keller, Cooley, and Guenther.I have a feeling Utah takes Sennecke at 6. Another big toolsy player who hasn't filled out yet like But and Simashev.
Agreed. I feel like anyone who really watched him play knew he was 6’0” max, and only folks who had never seen him on the ice were pushing the 6’2” narrative. There's a big difference between 6'2 and 6' that goes beyond just height. That's hilarious he was listed that generously.

14 is way too high. He’s got almost no offense to him at all. I don’t think his upside is any higher than complementary middle-pairing guy. You don’t take that player at 14.I'm not hating the idea of taking him at 14.

I’d have time for him if we traded up or back to the 22-24 range. Although it sounds like LA is pretty interested in him.
Hmm, I think I’d prefer Solberg. He’s got more two-way upside. But I wouldn’t be thrilled with Solberg at 14 either, so I might just be reaching too high.Fair but I'd rather him than Solberg.
