I'm just rough on watches. I guess I'm always doing physical stuff... wood working, fixing stuff, moving stuff. I dunno.
Have you ever gotten a “better” watch other than a G-Shock? Lots of watches are made poorly. If you want to try something a bit more fancy take a look at a Victorinox INOX watch. They advertise it as running it over with a tank or something heavy like that and it keeps working. They have quartz or automatic and some models have a diver bezel. It’s a sharp watch. I have a victorinox automatic chronograph and they make a very good watch.

I've had expensive-ish dress watches. Never had anything that holds up like the G-Shock though. It doesn't really matter. I'm perfectly fine with them. I have a couple that are slightly "dressier" that are good enough with a suit. No reason to go with anything else for me.

It’s the only fancy thing I indulge in. A good dive watch is a nice accessory but nothing wrong with a G-Shock. They are immensely popular for a reason. I think Suunto is also well regarded if you like G Shocks.

The real travesty is these guys giving each other Hublots as gifts for jersey numbers. You're in the NHL, you can at least give the guy a basic datejust.

I'd rather just have more cash lol the number that important to you? Put a k after the number and write a check lol

Not quite a dive watch, but this is what I normally wear.

I get the idea of a watch as a swap. It’s got some element of a personal bond that money won’t provide. But a quartz hublot for an NHL young player who doesn’t know any better is just a crime against horology and Tatar should be ashamed of himself .

They are sharp and very functional. At my advanced age the small sundials make me squint so I’ve gone to bigger dive watches that are easy to read. G Shock makes so many styles and even has some color variations. You can’t go wrong with that.

Gotcha, I've got an Apple Watch that I've worn every day for the last like 3 years after not wearing a watch for the previous like 20 years of my life. Not even as a "watch" really but more of a way to keep an eye on calls and messages while at work.

I got a feeling these won’t be liked around these parts…

I love them personally, I have a Brodeur 90's ASG one when they were in SJ that my brother gifted me, I actually want to pick up a Hughes one but not sure where to find one. I was looking at cool hockey.com but not sure if they're a reputable site.
