I ordered a blank RR jersey and it seems UPS is playing games with me. They literally said the package was in my towns facility days ago and now it's somehow further away from where I live lol.

Sounds like ADIDAS won’t be leaving the sport quietly next season. Looks as if we’ll be getting another special jersey program for all 32 teams next season. Not RR 3.0

I mean, if it keeps selling merch, it doesn't matter what company it is, they are going to keep doing it. Maybe CCM or Reebok will come back and introduce the straight retro, which for the Devils, would just be their pre-adidas jersey.

I personally find the special one-off jerseys that are worn 4 or 5 times and disappear incredibly annoying. Regular third jerseys are great, but this is just a money grab. We used to have the entire arena wearing the same two jerseys, which looked incredible.

Now we have a hodge podge of red, white, black, green, yellow, and blue. Minor issue in the grand scheme of things, but things are a far cry from when our crowd looked as cool as this.

Amen, I absolutely hate it, I love the way are crowds use to look like a sea of red, especially during the 12 playoffs. Now we have a mix of all these colors and more annoying that blue and yellow are not our damn colors.

Sounds like, Under Armour an New Era will be leading the bidding charge for the next jersey supplier, some rumors that Fanatics themselves wants to make game worn stuff as well...which scares the hell out of me because their replicas an anything they make really, is dogshit

Of course it's a money grab but personally I think it's a shame tradition gets thrown in the trash so all the people who don't need more money get more money. The old red and greens are fine and even a black is fine but they really jumped the shark with this blue and yellow shit.

bro everyone got new jerseys. You can't just keep re-making the same shit over and over. It was always gonna be different.

Like I said, its really not a big deal.

Brah I know, I don't have to like it though. You could wear the same jersey forever, literally nothing wrong with it. I'm sure Harris and Blitzer won't miss a meal if they don't get more jersey $$$.

Can understand if fans don't like the reverse retro jerseys but I for one love them. Both of ours have been better than most other teams. Not saying that the Rockies inspired jersey should be our 3rd but I would love if they were to wear the jersey once a year like we did with our red green and white ones.

I really miss our Heritage jersey from a few seasons ago , those were perfect to wear a few times a year in comparison to our current 3rd jersey we have now that the team totally screwed up on.

I think the Jersey jerseys are way better than the Rockies reverse retros. The best thirds by a mile are just the standard white/red/green throwbacks from the 80s, but the blue reverse retro has been a flop for me.

I hope that they do what they did for the 2018 home playoff games, which was try to call for a red out (or a white out if they wish). It's always a cool idea to make it a sea of one color for big games.

I agree with some of this but one thing I always liked about going to games is seeing the different jerseys. Not just our home and aways but the occasional Rockies , Scouts , Retro green jerseys and whatnot.

Agreed, in the scenario we’re in the playoffs again, I hope they go back to white towels too. The red towels on red jerseys doesn’t have the same effect. The white towels on red jerseys in 2012 was incredible.

The pregame alarm before the players hit the ice was sick too with the smoke coming out under the jumbotron !

Mail delivery! Now I need to have an "A" added to it. Anyone from SoCal have any leads on how/where to do that out here?

As far as my opinions on this jersey: even though the colors are from a team prior to '82, this jersey feels so '90s to me, and as a 90s kid... I absolutely love it! It looks and feels like something someone would wear in the movie Airborne.

What if, and hear me out, our fan base is still capable of all wearing red for playoff games if the team does the bare minimum to promote it, which they will exceed now that we have a modern front office that actually knows what younger generations like, at least remotely lol.

I like different sweaters. Variety is the spice of life. ffs, we need to get out of this Old Man Lou mentality.

EDIT: You want all red in the stands? Bring back “Red Alert” and make that our playoff mantra in perpetuity. Put it on t-shirts on all the seats. It’ll only take a couple years for it to be ingrained among the fans that playoffs = wear red like the Winnipeg Whiteout, or the “C” of Red in Calgary or Rock your Red in DC.

Also, the stands were super red in 2018.

They are even better in person. They are supposed to be fun and half the fanbase can't grasp that. Get them while they are around, I regret not getting the green one years ago...

Ah yes, Airborne is definitively my favorite movie where the protagonist wins over his enemies and love interest with rollerblading prowess. I remember we had to watch it during a rainy day in PE and I was unexpectedly entertained. Bought it for my friend a few years back, she didn't quite get the same enjoyment.

As for the "A", maybe ping this eBay seller. They claim to have a lettering kit for the new reverse retro, maybe they would be willing to sell an "A" and then you could have a local business sew it on? I've had my dry cleaner sew on 95/00/03 patches on jerseys for me.

Here are some pics of my RR’s
Hughes is the authentic pro jersey and Bratt is the $40 knockoff .
I must say the knockoff is better than I thought it would be but obviously not as good as the regular
