Its incredibly frustrating seeing this league that has easily been the most successful women's league just completely shoot themselves in the foot constantly. All the good will that they've built can go away in an instant if they can't protect their players.

I don't think the league is going to collapse, too many sponsors putting their weight behind it, but the NWSL would be wise to clean house and eliminate anyone with any background issues. Burke, Riley, now the Seattle coach all gone.
 
There’s going to be hell to pay in Portland, precisely because the front office is trying to PR their way out of the situation as poorly as they tend to do. They put out a release that kind of calls Mana Shim a liar, followed immediately by a tweeted apology to Shim and Sinead Farrelly. Then Gavin Wilkinson sends a response to a reporter that denies he said what he said to Shim that turns into a half-apology if she misunderstood him. Wilkinson comes off just as abusive as at least the Washington coach.
 
Looking like games are going to be suspended this weekend. So many heads need to roll starting with Baird and then go from there.
 
Witnessed the local women's team beat nc courage to advance to semifinals of the NWSL playoffs. Congrats women!
