Ehhh I'm a bit tired of hearing about him too, this thread is fun because he's being treating like the best player to ever hit the open market.
I don't think he will ever generate the same amount of interest as he does right now because it's the middle of August, he should just milk it. Turn it into a Lebron style announcement on his decision.

Other than the city what exactly makes them the best connected to everything leafs? Yes Leafs have some promising prospects however so do 29 other teams. Don't be fooled by the hype until proven. Too funny year after year some leaf fans do this thing and question why one of the most disrespected fan bases in the league. It does make for good leaf jokes lol.

He blocked me long ago. He's pathetic, in Canada's biggest media market he can't get a job. His 'sources' I am sure are people who have been out of hockey for 15 years. He also has a lawsuit going on that I read some of the documents from, they're online. It was a lawsuit against him by the Canadian tax department, he was actually paying his own way to go on road trips to blog about the Leafs and was claiming the expenses as deductions. Seemed legit to me, the guy started his own business and it's been a financial disaster and he has a right to claim the expenses. Taxman was taking the position that he was basically just a fan trying to write off the expenses of an expensive hobby.

Uhh...pretty sure he means the cap space to sign Vesey to a 2nd contract in 2 years when he is an RFA.
Pretty much any team in the league can afford a rookie ELC, that's not what he meant.
But the Penguins already have $46 million in cap space tied up in only 7 players for the 2018-19 season when Vesey will need a raise.
That's more than any other team on his list, aside from Chicago.
