Jeez... Certainly feels like Collision has become the better show already (too bad its in such a shitty time slot). This was an odd show, not a great dynamite at all.

I think the big thing about Collision is that the talent have more say in the booking there which is why it makes more sense.

AEW has a great roster but TK’s booking is the runny shits.

Build up Darby challenging Sammy to turn face, then completely scrap the idea, put Darby in the TBS champ picture for no reason. Then put Sammy in a nothing tag team with Danny Garcia.

Start to give Orange Cassidy a rivalry with Swerve that fans loved. Instantly pull the plug on it and give both guys weird random bookings only to put Swerve in a series with Darby, then OC and the best friends against the BCC?

Build up Taya Valkyrie before her big matches then job her out in every big one. Meanwhile Kris Statlander comes back after months away from injury to take the TNT championship and have meaningless matches with it.

Anything with Jungle Boy at the moment. That theme song is awful. His talking is awful. His opponent also makes zero sense.

Weird random trios Or 4-way tag matches where only 2 teams fight at a time? I don’t get that one.

Having a robust women’s roster but wasting TV time with matches for guys from other promotions like El Vikingo and random local jobbers for squashes.

TK needs to hire a real booker to work with.
 
I don’t mind heel Jack perry. I know he’s getting a lot of hate but hopefully with more mic time he gets comfortable and better at it.

That part I could ignore if the rest was good.

Darby is as skinny, but he is a 100 times more compelling. He has a unique style in the ring (his dives HIT HARD and seem way more real than other high flyers), he has a weird charisma and he has improved leaps and bounds on the mic.

Jack Perry is wasted energy IMO. Even his new gimmick does work for me. Good idea to turn him heel, but it feels like they are trying to squeeze juice out of a rock. At some point, I feel like they should just let him go...

Stuff like this is why we got things like ‘bad Tanahashi.’ When you’re old and beaten up (and injured), you save your A-game for when you need it.
 
That's cool if it's because they are friends, but this is legit the companies biggest show ever.

As the Booker you got to know when to tell talent no.

If there was a really good story and build then maybe because the story could make up for the match not being all that good. But that isn't going to happen here.

So if you don't have a great story/build you at least got to pair two guys up that will deliver a 5 star match in ring at least. Jericho isn't capable of that anymore.
 
Some behind the scenes news from today's pwinsider.com:

- Chris Spradlin ( aka Chris Hero ) has been hired as an agent for AEW. He had been working as a Coach the last couple of months although his title was unofficial.

- Scott Garland ( aka Scotty 2 Hotty ) had a tryout as a Producer for last night's Dynamite show. He will be brought back for next week's show before they decide on whether to hire him or not.
