Read the new rules and yeah I don’t see that impacting the product in all. In fact I think it’s mostly a good thing- the only one I have questions about is the buckle bomb but even then I get it. It’s dangerous. You can figure something else out

Yeah I think everything listed is reasonable (and I assume the crowd stuff is because the lawyers told them they are liable if someone wanted to sue)

Some people on twitter are big mad about it and think it's turning the product into WWE which is dumb.

Show should be largely the same, just with talent not outwardly killing themselves on a weekly basis.

Mox isn't going to stop blading though. He would quit before he stopped blading every week.

Also think the fake seizure or fencing position stuff is good too. I hated that spot in Bryan/Okada.

I think they should limit the blood so that it actually means something when it happens, I like that TK has creative control over that now

But yeah Mox is gonna bleed after that whole dissertation he gave lol

Oh absolutely. I don't really like blood in wrestling anymore at all, and if blading was permabanned across the board I would be fine with it.

But if you are going to. Lade. Limiting it for matches or feuds that need it. Similar to certain match types. They aren't special if they happen all the time

lol that’s awesome, I’ve never seen heel manager JR before. He’s f***ing tremendous

I remember being highly Sports Entertained and was sad that it came to an end after maybe not even a month because Dr. Death got hurt again....

The highlight of it was an episode of Raw where early in the show a crew of carpenters brought a bunch of wood and tools down to the ring and started building something in front of Cole and Lawler, much to their annoyance. A few segments later, whatever they were working on is done and covered with a cloth. JR and Dr. Death come down and JR removes the cloth to reveal his own commentary desk clad with "RAW is JR" and "JR" stylized like the AE WWF logo. JR then spends a decent chunk of the show interrupting and belittling Cole while trying to convince Lawler to come sit at the big kids table. I seem to recall an exchange where Cole says something like "I can't see I have a cowboy hat in my face!" and Heel JR responds with "Yea, and you're about to have a boot in your ass!". Eventually the table gets destroyed during a hardcore match and JR gets pissed off and leaves.

IIRC, he had to shelve the heel thing for WM15 because Austin insisted on having JR call the main event instead of Cole.

I think I remember it was more because people didn't want to boo Jim Ross.

They went right back to Heel JR for at least a couple of weeks until Dr. Death got injured again.

In retrospect, maybe it wasn't heel, it was just an edgier pissed off JR. He was still introduced as Good Old JR to positive crowd reactions and the crux of the story was him trying to get his job back, set the record straight on the whole "JR's Boy" debacle, deal out some justice to those that make light of his condition and try to meet women at a frat party. Seems pretty relatable to me.

To be fair to the seizure spot in that match I am almost positive that was done on the fly after Bryan snapped his arm. Probably were other ways they could have gotten the message across but I don’t think they went into the match planning to do the spot either.

So I've got some good news and some possible bad news for AEW fans here in Canada that like watching the shows on TV. First the good news - Battle of the Belts 7 will be seen at 3 am Eastern Sunday on TSN2 right after Collision:

Now for the possible ( looking more like probable ) bad news - according to my on-screen TV listings and the listings on the TSN site neither Rampage or Collision are scheduled to air on TSN TV next week. I mentioned it earlier but I wonder if these 2 shows aired on TV the last few weeks because they were in Canadian cities ????

I thought the bad news was gonna be that Luchasaurus had a match with Shawn Spears

UFC’s card is unusually late tonight. I almost wonder if Endeavor is doing this to hurt Collision’s rating. Sneaky part of that partnership is the counter-programming the UFC can do on Saturdays. I know I watch the mma live and dvr the wrestling

Ehh it's running on Vegas time. I don't think Dana really cares about Collision

Do you think I’m the only one watching a top prospect debut right now instead of Collision? AEW is gonna have problems on Saturdays with WWE’s partner

I’m personally watching Collision instead bc I don’t care about prelims to a ESPN card where the main card card starts at 2200EST. And the main event is even less intriguing which will happen well after midnight.

That’s fair and also your prerogative, fairly certain ufc prelims smoked them last week and it’s something they’re going to consistently have trouble with on Saturdays
