MJF not signing an extension is the real complicating factor. Did anyone ever figure out when he contract is up? If it’s up too soon, they cannot put the title on him.

I will presume the extension was signed even before the Wardlow match and MJF is getting paid what is his.

AFIK, it was never really about MJF wanting to leave AEW. He just wanted to get paid. And I trust Tony has paid the man.

Money is no object for AEW, but even if it was..... big money was freed up from Cody, and they can free up money by letting guys like Black or whomever go if they want to go back to WWE.

Honestly letting Black leave should be viewed as getting out of a bad contract. A mulligan for both parties.

I liked that show a lot better than I thought I would. There was some great stuff. Loved the trios title match. Tag titles match. MJF Being back. Too many matches is my main complaint.

Assuming it's not all a work? It's been a fantastic work from day 2 (assuming there was actual issues with MJF at the beginning which I'm not entirely sure of).

You connect the dots there, he’s blaming those guys for telling people in the media that he got Colt moved to ROH to placate him. He says that’s wrong, obviously he’s going to defend himself, but to date it seems unsubstantiated. He doesn’t need to keep going back to it, of course, but he’s not addressing it for no reason, you have an extremely combustible personality seeing what he feels are lies being written about him, and perhaps done so on purpose. He went out of his way to say he loves Adam Cole though.

I saw a lot of Jericho’s part, he was asked about meetings, and he talked about the leaks too and how there’s people who don’t understand the forum in which AEW operates as a weekly TV show. Both he and Punk mentioned working backstage with the older veterans on stuff like Terry Funk and Mark Henry. FTR has been pretty clear in their support for Punk. People are gonna say what they will about Punk, but it doesn’t seem to me that he’s the one getting the most fingers pointed at him for whatever discord there is. Guys lost their EVP status for a reason.

—Some of the talent is just buried in stupid feuds or storylines.
—They have incredible tag teams, yet they seem more focused on a trios title and the best tag team doesn’t even have the top tag belts. Put them on FTR, have them feud against the top teams like The Bucks (yes, again), KOR and Fish, The Acclaimed…. Give The Acclaimed the ROH tag titles. And get Briscoes out there too.
—Danielson has been neutered as have other guys.
—Why do you have a singles title like the Atlantic title (ffs that name) and have Pac defending against SabIan?
—Don’t even get me started on the TNT Championship.
—Why do ROH titles exist without a dedicated program? Use the depth on your roster correctly and the titles give you feuds and interest. Andrade, Black, Darby, Sammy, Jungle Boy… TF?
—If you keep going to the blood gimmick over and over again it loses it’s meaning.
—Where are Cole and Co? Is Cole injured?
