Most likely just freeze his contract. I don't think they want to set a precedent of someone being unhappy, getting out of a long term contract, then going back to WWE

Nah I don't think Black is the hill to die on with freezing a contract instead of granting his release to go back to WWE.

Just let him go if he wants to go.

AEW was built with guys who wanted to be there. So if you don't want to be there anymore, then later. Black isn't a meaningful player and if means more time for others who have been marginalized. I welcome any WWE/NXT guy to go back if they want. It takes care of the bloat.
