For real. It was a fine match tonight, all considered. But it makes zero sense after that squash. Could have just saved the squash and had this ok match.

Doing 2 titles changes in 2 weeks was not necessary outside of desperately trying to pop a rating. I would like this better if they didn't do the prior squash and title change.

I wanted the Stokely group to beat down Punk quickly and MJF to capitalize and cash in his chip. I admittedly don’t know if the chip is like the MITB briefcase. It’s probably not. Whatever. I could even forgive the inconsistency if they said f*** it and had MJF steal the belt away in Chicago.

Even if it's Full Gear, idk.

I get it that not every title reign needs to be some 6-month minimum reign with epic defenses and all that. Sometimes the right call is a short reign here or there.

But the flip flopping of the last 2 weeks hurt its prestige IMO and it took away from tonight.

That being said, MJF HAS to win tho. No more "you'll get him int he return match -or- but you got a visual pinfall -or- timelimit TV draw" etc etc. He has to win. Period.

2024 is when it ends. They have time assuming it's not all a work, or it hasn't already been settled.
