I'm not too sure at this point if the TV deal is what is actually paying peoples salaries.

"It was reported at that time how that extension was for 4 years and $175 million, or just under $45 million per year."

That was from an article last year, and if correct then the top 10-15 people are probably eating all that money, which would leave a significant shortfall for the rest.

It’s definitely paying salaries as all TV contracts do in sports.

He isn't even a mid card champ. There are way better singles wrestlers on this roster then him.

Darby has that Jeff Hardy appeal, though he needs to chill with some of those spots

It wouldn't be hard for them to build Darby back up at all. Happens all the time in wrestling. Anyone who says they can't see Darby in the title picture, why?

He's better than many wrestlers who have been in the title picture in AEW or elsewhere. I don't really see him as being THE top guy but I don't see why he can't be one of the top guys. Anyone who thinks Kyle O'Reilly is more deserving must really love drinking that Undisputed Era kool aid.

What was the actual last wrestling match that he was in? Serious question. All he is now is a spot monkey.
 
Do you guys think the MJF match was always planned to go that way or did they switch it after everything that transpired during the weekend?
 
Halfway or so through the event

Wardlow MJF was blah. Wardlow does nothing to me.
Hardys and Bucks a yawn. Have seen it or something similar many times
Cargill finish was sloppy. Loved the one debut but Athena was just like yaaaaaay the 257 person to debut. Cargill is dope tho and love the baddies
Wasnt paying attention during the Malakai Black match really
Think Joe and Ruby should have won their matches but I am a Joe fan and I think Ruby deserved it
Having a couple win is kinda corny and this speech is weird as was Khan walking out Martha Hart

Can’t talk, very small. Only time that’s ever worked is Rey.

Great worker though, one of the best in the company. Arguably the best bumper in the sport

I don't think so at all. I think it was supposed to be a competitive match (maybe with some run ins), definitely not a squash. I couldn't see them squashing MJF out like that especially with MJF likely moving into a world title picture.

Just makes zero sense to up and bury him dead like that.

All I want for this next PPV cycle is for Christian to ditch the Jungle Bros and wrestle more. It seems like a reasonable request tbh imo. There are so many good/interesting matches waiting to happen

Yeah I was rounding down. Its around 4.5 hours and I was 2.5 in. Think ill continue tomorrow or just FF to matches I care about.

I wonder if Punk winning is setting up for a MJF feud and title run. I dont see anyone else challenging. Unless they bring in Claudio Castanalio or whatever he was in WWE to feud with Punk.

That feud they just did - more than one match of - and then they just squished MJF like a bug. He’s not moving up right now. He may not even in the top 10 of potential challengers right now.

I expected serious shenanigans. Didn't expect a squash at all, but damn was it rewarding. Hated that MJF took the powerbombs on his elbows. Each one looked worse and worse. We've seen Wardlow give much bigger guys several powerbombs in a row, so I'm not putting it on him. MJF didn't do himself any favors over the weekend IMO
 
Since AEW does exploding rings and death matches they should just do some sort of AEW: American Tournament of Death. Idk who in AEW other than Moxley and Kingston would be in it since its in their past. Bing back Nick Gage. AEW has connections with Mexican and Japanese companies. Shit even bring in Onita.

Onita vs. Moxley exploding cage final would be cool of they do it right
 
Besides Adam Cole and CM Punk who are in or getting the push to the upper most of current ex wwe guys are no where in that scene at the moment.

Is wrestling like sports and you can find online how much each Wrestler makes?
