so we are giving up Lauzon,2017 1st,Spooner,Vatrano,Miller and Zorbil for Hannifin and Lando. Sorry dude that's brutal. I mean at least get Duchene.

You think that's bad? I'd do it without a second thought.

However, that's a LOT of moving pieces and not at all realistic.

Still, I would balk at it for a moment.

At this point I'm not convinced vatrano alone won't be better than landeskog in 2 years. I know they are similar ages but vatrano gets better and better to me the more I see of him. I think he's gonna be a bonafide top 6 winger that has a chance to pot 25-30 multiple times

I know Krug's got like 2 unreasonable haters here, but I love the guy, and am proud to rock his road sweater. I'll make room for him on my team any day.

And I think Donny feels the same way and will not move him.

Krug gets paid to put pts up from back end.He does that He not going anywhere .

Agree. Once he see's the game better, his hockey IQ matures and he naturally starts finding the soft spots this kid is going to be money. Hes getting more confident and eventually he'll find his swag. Has the potential to be the flying meatball, laying guys out and snapping home bullets. And he'll be cheap for the forseeable future

Really? Maybe I'm in the minority but I don't think Vatrano is near the talent Landeskog is...now, two years from now or ever.

Did you source mention any of the names going and coming here???:naughty:

I have zero sources for information. Better insight come from people with sources here in the know. I had a close friend try and cheer me up and give me the silver lining and rationale behind the timing of the firing. No teams or players mentioned.

Yeah, it was posted earlier.

What's even more telling is that the moved their conversation during the 2nd intermission into the media area where this photo was taken. This wasn't 'let's talk off to the side' it was 'let's let them watch us talk and stir the pot.'

Something has to be up. Cannot see Sakic going there for nothing.I am sure habs though hunting for help too. Heard he is attending BeanPot too.

the Bruins have a couple of centers coming in JFK, Frederic, and Donato over the next couple years, but where they have guys close or ready is at wing.... Vatrano, Cehlarik, Debrusk, Heinen, Bjork next year with Czarnik the forgotten man. Also Gabrielle and Senyshyn coming, but maybe Gabrielle is destined for 4th line. With Pastrnak and Marchand solidified as top two wingers, that only leaves 4 spots for the rest of the guys to fight for. You've got to move two of them, and if they bring in another long term winger like Landeskog, probably three. Pllus, obviously there will be more draft picks coming in over the next two years.

We still have another year of Beleskey with an NMC and Hayes. We need those contracts off the books YESTERDAY. Then she's all smooth sailing into the Stanley Cup sunset.

yeah, maybe that's where a Czarnik can help get Beleskey moved, Hayes at least only has a year left.

It's great that they have so many quality forward prospects, but the problem is they are all on very similar timelines to be ready for the show, can't all fit.

And that's totally fair, I'm just particularly high on Vatrano.

It's insignificant due to the small sample size but vatrano is outperforming landeskog on a ppg basis at the moment. While that's in part due to Colorado being complete garbage I would imagine landeskog is put in a better chance to succeed than vatrano (significantly more minutes on average per game being one of those factors)

Again the small sample size makes that data relatively meaningless but it does make me at least pause for a bit. Landeskog obviously has the track record vatrano simply does not have. But I do think Vatranos production will only go up from here

Vatrano is playing good now .But something bothered me tonite The Bruins were on a powerplay and the pass came across to him and he fumbled it a bit.By the time he got it flat to shoot it was easy to know Price was across He shot it anyways straight into the crest where it was frozen and give Montreal time to get set again. He should have moved that puck to another open Bruins player and kept the movement going .He had no chance there to score .Looked to me like he does not think just shoots .That's ok in a way cause you need to shoot yo score .But like to see more smarts out of him too.Glad though he scored again tonite. Haha

AIm beating this same drum could care less if they want Fit;s and Donato, JFK McAvoy? GTFOH

I too am leery of these potential deals with Colorado.

You have to think Sakic wants a package certainly involving the Colorado native Carlo to sell what would be considered a painful deal to the fans there.

I don't like it. We have a 20 year old right shot d-man playing on our top pairing. Sweeney should be happy as a pig in ****. He defends well man to man, he has great reach, he's mobile, he can pass, and he should put up 25-30 points in his prime. He might get 20 this year as a rookie. He is also on a rookie contract.

I like Duchene a lot as a player and hoped a couple of years ago that the Bruins could acquire him, but he isn't a big enough improvement on Krejci that I would consider moving out Carlo or McAvoy. It is likely that Colorado has already gotten the most offensively explosive years of Duchene's career.

The other issue is that with Duchene you add $6 million to the cap and he can leave as UFA after two years. I put Duchene first because it seems more likely that he is moved than Landeskog.

Landeskog is younger than Duchene so the case can be made that you would get more of his best years but I don't like the idea of moving a d-man for a winger. Landeskog is a very good all around player it is acknowledged, but he has never had 30 goals and other than one season at 26 hasn't come close. I get the idea that he is a good "buy low" candidate considering his point totals this year.

So of course if Sakic was willing to accept lesser prospects for one of these guys, (fat chance) then by all means make a deal. The bidding is probably high, especially on Duchene. Sooner or later Carolina has to get a center worth mentioning if they want to do anything in this league, and they have a surplus of young d-men.

I don't usually fall in love with the prospects if there is an opportunity to make the professional roster better, but the salary cap issue really makes me think twice about moving young talent especially defensemen and doubly so when already contributing on the Bruins roster. I'd rather keep the young guys with their cap friendly contracts and then sign a UFA or trade for a player from a team in cap difficulty like Tampa Bay. No need to bail out Colorado, again unless the price is lower than what is thought which is highly doubtful.

I agree with you. I want nothing to do with moving Carlo or McAvoy or rookie playing wing now with Krecji..Sakic wants to talk the rest I am in.No need to be the team Colorado trys to rob.
