Now that the forwards are getting healthy, would be nice to bring in a 3rd line RW with a bit of a scoring touch to drop Nash to the 4th line.

As long as it's not some UFA to be that's gone in July.

Team should be building their team, not adding short-term slobs.

If the Bruins do make a trade using assets (other than shedding a bad contract or worthless prospect) it has to be for someone who is so good that they will bump someone else off their expansion protected list or for someone who is not required to be protected.
Otherwise, they should not spend resources on someone who will be left exposed.
So with that in mind it changes the criteria of the type of trade(s) they should make.
At least that is how I would proceed at the moment. (Subject to change).
Some of you might be okay with giving up assets for a rental or someone who would probably be claimed if exposed.
Anyone they trade for should be better than what they have, the idea is to improve the team. So that acquisition will either be protected or exempt.

First of all, I hope that Carlo's injury is not too serious, though it did look ominous.

The only positive from that is, if he is out for any length of time, it could inhibit his availability for trade.

Loui Eriksson looks like he has flopped so far in Vancouver. I wonder if Benning would do a Salary for Salary swap just to change things up

Beleskey, Hayes and Koko for Eriksson.

I know his contract is brutal but he had a lot of chemistry with Krejci and would give our line up a ton of depth. 3-4 years down the road when the next wave of players are getting raises we can leave him or Backes unprotected in the next expansion draft or buy them out if needed.

Or Eriksson busted his hump to get paid when going ufa.
To me bringing him back will only add to the frequent malaise this group has. If anything we need a real shake up. Loui to me seems like a hat you didn't really like before that u displaced behind some Ikea furniture.. and you find it and put it on expecting somethig different. No. It's the same old hat.
Meh.

For the love of god, please make a move that makes Adam McQuaid (or Kevan Miller) not play in our top 4.

It can't be THAT hard to get a right handed defenseman better than both of them? Can it?

Vancouver is one point out of a playoff spot, a veteran team trying for one last run in the Sedin era. Eriksson hasn't been lights out in Vancouver, but he's been far from terrible either. I see no reason for Vancouver to do this. Not to mention the optics of trading Eriksson, a big name July 1st UFA who they committed to with a 6-year deal, just 7 months after signing that deal.

I hope we sell.

Liles could have a little value to some teams.
Moore definitely does. (I hope we keep him).
Morrow. Spooner for sure.

it can when the majority of teams in the league have RHD`s who can play top 4 minutes on their lists of needs/wants
