Geez, I wish he would have spent a few months "evaluating", then another few months "building frameworks" and then returning to a long cycle of "evaluating" before shipping off past talent (I will not name The One who now plays in Dallas; elsewhere referred to as Voldemort).

Sincerely, can't argue one bit with that. Still say that the Seguin trade was as much an immature act as was Seguin's actions during the Playoffs; the only difference being that Seguin was only 20-years-old and still had maturing to do, whereas the Bruins brass should've known better than just to react from being pissed off at Seguin. The trade was like almost immediate, no time took evaluating whether it was the right thing to do or not.

i do think ryder may be the best option if this market proves to be as absurdly high priced as people claim. another longshot could be teddy purcell. he's way overpaid at 4.5M for the next 2 years, but if the oilers swallowed half that money for 2015-16 and a bunch from the remainder of this year, perhaps it is possible. purcell lit up the bruins a ton while with TB - another thing high on chia's list of acquisitions. ex-flames, ex-senators, anyone that torched us. he's also a right shot and a big frame (despite being super soft).

As my daughter reminded me Krejci and Ryder had great chemistry when Krejci stepped into the spotlight in 2009. Forgot about that. Ryder also did well when with Kelly on the third line if Clode wants to flip Loui up.

The SF Giants have won 3 World Series in the past 5 years picking up Cody Ross, Marco Scutaro, and this year Jake Peavy. All three had a huge say in their journey.

Ryder makes sense from cost, style, familiarity, and experience. You keep Eriksson and have flexibility and can let Ryder go after this season.

I'm not worried I think he's been very good - TOI hits more than double every one but Randell, I realize most here like soft teams and ******* so I understand the hate.

Not me! It's possible to address the physicality issue internally as well as from outside the organization.

I'd like Stamkos;)

I'd rather give up a little for Ryder than top picks and prospects for Vermette

If I am Arizona I want Bostons first and Koko or pasta and a second for my best forward

Tread deadline prices have been dropping steadily the last 3 years or so. I can't see many GMs to keen on coughing up 1st or 2nds in this draft.

Is that really Phoenix's asking price?

Probably higher - Google up GM Don Maloney on Vermette.

He would be perfect for Montreal. If I am then I go hard and then try and resign

That story mentions that the Habs are talking to the Oilers about Eberle and Yakupov.

If the Habs manage to acquire either, for any of their garbage players, while Chiarelli humms and haws and continues to evaluate and evaluate his frameworks for evaluation... :banghead:

If they get another Vanek like trade (Complete heist) at the deadline and we go get another Mezaros, I'm done supporting Chia.

I wonder how much of that is just posturing though. In the end the market dictates the price and if he gets nothing for someone who isn't going to resign in the cesspool that is Phoenix right now, he and Vermette may both be looking to sign somewhere new come July.

Oh fer cripes sake, can we please STOP with this "Vanek was a complete heist" fairy tale? The Habs were the only team in the league with enough cap space to fit Vanek. Quite simply, Montreal was the only place he could go! Which is why he went for peanuts; LI wanted to shed his salary and basically gave him away to the only team that could take him!!

You hit it with knight, and I already stated my thoughts on him before - it's mainly up to him now. But I question whether invalid has seen knight in person a handful of times or not

He always brings it and plays solid hockey. He's still young. I see some stand out abilities. No one can say that he'll never make an NHL team... But if you're a fan of the Bruins and the style they want, I encourage you (anyone reading this ) to attend AHL games... You'll see ability and compete in knight. He needs to force someone hand with his play or try again on another team, I have my doubts cassidy will be going anywhere

Dont't understand why the physical bit hasn't been addressed in house with Knight, randell, Camara (guess Robins isn't an option at present) *combined with outside help.*I bring this up frequently, but no one appears to have addressed that option. Might as well *try*. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Fans are crying out for "iidentity reclaimation."

What's to lose? :rant::rant::help::help::rant:::(:(

If the Wild don't get their act together soon, could they be a team potential to trade with? Don't think I recall anyone talking about any Wild players in a potential trade.

Edit: I see that Vanek's name has been brought up. But is he the only possible Wild player?

David Pastrnak, come on down! You're the next tryout on the Bruins' 1st line!

seems like the wild could use a goalie...don't see how we can help. cam ward possibly a nice fit for them, and canes dump that salary/use dobby to finish the season.

Part of the problem is that there really aren't a whole lot of potential trading partners out there. I mean, Columbus and Philadelphia seem to have finally gotten on a winning stretch. Colorado looks like they might be turning things around.

Perhaps, other than Minnesota (and the few obvious candidates) Calgary might be another option... they've just gone through a rough stretch and possibly they've realized that there is some element that they're particularly lacking.

It's a tough trade world out there for Pete the GM. He can't convince anyone to bite on one of his overpaid/no skills role-players or for that matter the $7 million-big-ones goalie. He will let the searching for big body script play out, throw in some rope-a-dope, and hope to squirm into spring playoffs at last moment, and that may keep the hounds at bay. He's become gun shy it appears from the Seguin-deal-fallout and now resembles a GM mummy.

Coyotes may be cooked, Devils too. Stars will be there soon.

I did say aside from the "obvious candidates"... Arizona, New Jersey, Edmonton, Carolina... But what do any of them have that the Bruins could potentially get (if we'd want??)? And yes, there's Dallas... haha... let's have the Stars fleece the Bruins again.

And each of those teams have a whole batch of other potential trading partners who will want to try to strengthen their roster.
