With the smurfs
honestly it's probably in the Avs best interest to just let the season play out and add another top notch draft pick (preferably a D). I don't think they have the kind of depth where a trade is going to suddenly turn them into a good team. If they make any trades it will be in the interest of shedding salary (aka tanking), not shaking things up (which the coaching change should have accomplished)

Wonder what it would take to get Iggy back. Last year of his deal.

Cap wise would cost them the ability too add a top 4 defenseman this year. I like the idea but D should be the priority, when the forwards are healthy, and Hayes sent to the KHL, they should be able to score at a decent clip.

I like what even an old Iginla brings to the third line but cost in cap dollars needs to be weighed as much if not more than what it would take personal wise to obtain him.

No thanks to Iginla, the guy is useless now, could not skate much anymore when he was here the first time, but now he has to be one of the slowest players in the league, he still has a decent shot, but needs someone to perfectly lay it on his stick all the time, can't do much on his own anymore. If the Bruins are looking for a forward as well there are much better choices than iggy.

Avs fans say he's a complete liability now 5 on 5.

I'd say the Bruins don't need a PP specialist, but consider their PP is dead last maybe they do.

I wouldn't be completely against bringing back Iggy for the right price, provided they take back McQuaid so it allows Boston to have enough cap space to improve in other areas.

But word is Iginla has zero interest in moving again, even back to Boston.

And it's not like he's exactly going to a contending team where he has a very good chance at his elusive cup.

Not a chance.

Colin Miller = average value

Belesky with zero points and a big contract = zero value

Subban with expansion coming up = zero value

All three of those players have ZERO value. Miller has " average " value? I will take whatever that is and run

I like idea of taking Iggy back but contract has to go their way.

Jimmy Hayes and a 4th for iginla with 1 mill retained. There's a chance Colorado might get more out of Hayes. For us getting rid of Hayes caphit next year would be a godsend

Just because you don't like Colin Miller doesn't mean he doesn't have value around the league. 24-year old puck-moving D-man, heavy shot, can run a PP, very close to an NHL regular. Yeah you can bet he has value. Like I said average value.

A week ago most didn't think Spooner could get much in return, yet rumor is teams are calling the Bruins with interest in the guy and the Bruins are in no rush to move him.

Was noy crazy when we got iginla
Sure wouldn't want him now. In his heyday would have loved to have him but his heydays are long long long gone

Spoon imo is a 50-60pt guy playing as a third line center. ..that has to spark some interest. .
Give him a steady good winger
And I think he will pleasantly surprise us

Trouba may never happen time to set the sights a little lower. I am thinking Tanev from the Canucks for maybe Krejci. I fear he is declining before our eyes and Spooner can step up. Besides we have Backes, Moore, Kuraly as centers. Getting the team younger in this deal is better for the long run. Krech had chemistry with Eriksson on his line last year and on the PP. Eriksson is struggling and not working out with the twins. Also Benning really liked Khoklachev, he seems to be out of the Bruins plans but he could be had as a throw in with McQuaid. Tanev would be a difficult to pry away and the Bruins would have to take back some salary. Bruins have a lot of good prospects if that interests the Canucks in a package deal. Lot of options if they even consider dealing with each other. Carlo/Chara....Krug/Tanev....Kevan/Colin...Morrow as the extra

Seidenberg with 4 goals already, and playing in Islanders' top 4. Seems like he's having a bounce back season.
