Any interest in Evander Kane? I know he's had issues off the ice but he is a big, strong, fast winger. A guy Krejci could use.

What is Buffalo looking for?

Marchy-Bergy-Pasta
Kane-Kejci-Czarnik
Beleskey-Spooner-Backes

Kane is still only 25 years old.

He seems to be locker room cancer and a me me player. No need for that, we need a top 4 deeman. Krech/Beleskey cannot get going then look at moving them for a top dee

I say yes. I know Kane has baggage, but he's just what we need up front, another physical player that can score. Ribs will heal soon enough. Krejci plays ten times better with that type of player on his wing IMO

Not sure what it would take though

McQuaid and Hayes is the most I would offer.

Maybe it's premature, but I'm starting to worry about Krug. Kids got heart and gumption, but he's lost his biggest weapon (his slapper), and his skating doesn't have that jump in his step it used to. I wonder being an undersized guy has playing D the way he does (he's quite physical) hasn't started to take it's toll.

It is early, but I also see reason to be concerned about him.

With Carlo's ascendance, I'm getting more open to moving Krug in a deal that would bring back Trouba.

The problem with that is the team still has a hole in D. Sure it's a smaller one but it isn't the big switch that would really help to improve the team. Especially if wpg wants krug, spooner plus...

I really want to know what Winnipeg is asking because their fans want a **** load for him even still.

Leaving the Bruins with a left-side of Chara-Liles-Morrow-O'Gara?

So they would of gone from a terrible right side and decent left side, to the polar opposite.

Chara - Carlo
Liles - Trouba
Morrow - Kevan/McQuaid/Colin

I'm not sure that is an improved group.

Spooner, McAvoy, JFK and a 1st for Tavares

Wonder if the Islanders would toss in Leddy and Hamonic. Make it a bit more fair for Boston. If the Bruins were smart they should hold out and insist Nelson is part of the deal coming back as well. :sarcasm:

You clearly haven't seen this team the last few years. We've had an opportunity to get rid of BOTH and decided to keep them. They should be moved, but likely won't atleast until Neely/Sweeney are bagged.

I can understand keeping one of them. As bottom pairing guys, they are exactly what they should be. But the problem is on this team, they aren't bottom pairing guys.

I understood re-signing McQuaid at the time, even if I didn't agree with it. That defense was in flux with Boychuk gone, Seids injured, Miller needing offseason surgery, and Hamilton traded.

That being said, re-signing both of them is a head scratcher. I think it's assumed Miller was re-signed in part to get in good graces with Vesey's agent prior to that whole fiasco.

Going forward though once KMiller returns, I think it's time to cut bait on McQuaid. I think he's the worse player of the two. Having both of them in this lineup is not going to do anything to help fix this defense.

Where have you been? Bruins hand Krug 25 mill plus and he said just before the signing I will take anther one year deal.
Unfortunately Winnipeg wants a top four D-man and that is not Krug.

I'm not really expecting much from this team this year. I'm thinking more long term. And on that count, Trouba likely has more upside than Krug long term.

The hope would be that one of our prospects would help fill out the left side, the way Carlo has helped on the right.

But you're right -- it's not ideal. I would much more prefer Krug recovering his form and us finding another deal for Trouba/Fowler.

Let's bring back SEIDENBERG

lol

Love how he goes full Norris soon as he leaves

Shrewd low risk signing from the NYI, and they'll be able to get an asset for him at the TDL if they continue to suck. Honestly, as sucky as it is to see a player play exponentially better after being bought out here, it was the right move.

They can ask all they want, but they're delusional thinking they're in a position of power. They might not trade him at all and get nothing for him after he goes to FA. He's clearly shown he is willing to sit out as long as he needs to. Jets can choose to get what they can get for him or get nothing at all.

Seidenberg was never a Corsi king, more of a quality shot preventer, but only one Bruins defender (O'Gara) has given up more shots per minute played than Seidenberg this season at 5 on 5.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the Islanders taking 45% of the shots, but scoring 75% of the goals when Seidenberg on the ice won't continue.

But, good for him producing in the early going! One of my biggest blown calls is thinking that, like Markov, Seidenberg would be back 18 months after his knee surgery.

Edler is off to a poor start in Vancouver, and with a few more losses and they'll be in full tank mode. I wonder if we could snag him on the cheap. A prospect and a pick?

Edler is 14th in the league among D-men in ATOI.

Yet has all of 1 point on the season.

He should fit right in with this group. He doesn't produce anymore, Claude will love him.

To be fair, no one on that team is producing.
