Even with Noesen out, those two guys make this lineup suddenly seem a lot heavier up front. Not like Reaves heavy, but like Staal or Svech heavy. Throw Noesen back in there as a 4th liner, move Pacioretty up to whatever line, suddenly we’ve got real edge on every line and a couple of lines which are really punishing. If we can just keep everyone out of the trainer’s room, that’s a very playoff-scary lineup.

League AVERAGE shooting would give us 6-7 goals in that game, we had 3...less than half of average. Kooch gets a lot of blame on that one for letting in 3 relative softies, but damn I'm tired of giving our forwards excuses for shooting like dogshit

3 goals on 67 shots is flat out terrible. I really don't care what happens with our own goaltending if your shooting percentage is 4.4%

Pacioretty will help, but he's only one player. We have a legitimate systemic issue with goal scoring that one player cannot solve. We absolutely must add at least one more scorer if we really are serious about contending for the cup this year. Against better teams in the playoffs when defenses tighten up, this is the kind of result we will see often with this team.

The two games L streak sucks, Going forward however MaXPac will be a critical PP1 piece (teams have to respect that hammer from the dots) I expect the PP to get better gradually.... If we could just get some goalies healthy.

They’ve scored 3 or more goals in 16 of the last 17 games. With the defense they play they unsurprisingly had points in 15 of them. You have to replace someone to get another pure goal scorer, is it TT? Because you know the Staal line isn’t getting touched.
