cutting sugars and carbs would be the absolute worst thing for a professional athlete to do. unless you want him to run out of energy halfway through the game.

You don't want those sugars and carbs when he's sitting there for long periods of time in chateau bow wow de Laviolette.

Our multiple Coaches and GMs just do not like gifted scorers like Laf so they try to keep them from succeeding. Its an ego thing. Like right now Laf is forced to play with Bread and Chytil. Bread is an aging guy who had a disappointing playoff and Chytil is a very young guy who is coming off an injury. Just is not fair to Laf that David Quinn, Gerard Gallant, Gorton, Drury, and no Peter Laviolette are so determined to stop Laf from scoring. I wonder why they have it out for him so much. Jealousy?
LOL this is hilarious
The LAF conspiracies poor LAF wa cry me a river. Watch the guy skate and watch him away from the puck. His hockey iq in real time very quick NHL play is like watching a sloth…I honestly don’t think he’s smart enough. He also avoids going directly to the net and shoting the puck ..like his brain shuts down on the objective of the game.
Kakko does the same crap in close to the net. Neither one of them has killer instinct regrettably

4 shots in 3 games isn’t gonna get it done. Hope he starts putting more shots on net.
I'm looking at it in terms of shot attempts for him. At all situations last year, he had 39 games with <=2 shot attempts all game (4 with 0, 13 with 1, 22 with 2). That to me is unacceptable since his best games throughout his career have been when he's shooting more and engaged with the puck.

The remaining 42 games were broken down by:
3 shot attempts - 18 games
4 shot attempts - 9 games
5 shot attempts - 6 games
6 shot attempts - 5 games
7 shot attempts - 1 game
8 shot attempts - 2 games
9 shot attempts - 1 game

This season, he's at 2 games with 3 attempts and 1 game with 6 attempts; tied for 2nd most on the team with Trocheck. He's shooting the puck more to start this year, and he needs to maintain this trend. Adding this in with the more aggressive game on the puck are good steps going forward for him. He's in a great spot in the lineup to earn more opportunities, and he should realize that how hard Panarin has been working is what we need from him too.

Yeah, but him and Trocheck also lead the team in missed, unblocked shots. For Lafreniere, I like that he's taking these attempts, but I would also like to see his shot selection be better, or at least hit the net to generate a save, scramble, something. They aren't creating rebounds, 0 shots attempts from the powerplay.

Totally fair point too. NST has 8 of his attempts being iSCF and 5 being iHDCF. I think the quality selection is there, but like you said, he’s gotta get them on net

That's fair, shot attempts would be better to use considering the sample size as well. I was just surprised that he had just 4 shots on goal.
