For all the times we bash pro scouting.. this time they got it completely bang on. Excellent fit.

Eric Crawford and his team do deserve credit. A nice job by the new management is that they increased the number of pro scouts.

Speaking of Crawford, we can also thank him because in some way, he had a hand in the Hutson selection. In the behind the scenes video, you see him tell the scouts that NHL teams that have success have a defenseman of Lane's profile.

And signed 2 more years after this one so we don't have to worry about it for a while
PLUS what he's been able to let Guhle become my god

'Size' just doesn't overly matter here, he's tough and he's solid, and he can at least make a PASS too
(It's what he brings to the PK that really seals it for me too)

Barron was acquired to see if he could be what Hutson is becoming before our very eyes, it was astute of Kent to pivot once Hutson 'panned out' and to flip a more offensive guy for a more defensive guy, which we crucially needed

Team is f***in 9-2 since sheesh lol

Going by what Preds fans were saying on their boards i was skeptical about Carrier and thought him for Barron was a 4 trente sous pour une piasse change of scenery type of trade.

Let's just say that so far he's been much better than advertised. Much more reliable offensively and defensively than both Struble and Barron. As for now the trade is more akin to 50 cents pour 5 piasses in the Habs favor.

A pleasant surprise for sure. Let's hope it continues that way

Many of us said as much when the trade happened, sometimes styles just mesh so well with one another it makes everyone better immediately. Carrier has worked out even better than I or probably anyone really expected.

He was the missing piece to stabilize our D-corps. Nothing fancy. Just solid minutes and doesn’t hurt you in any capacity. Almost like a prime Gorges in terms of how they were just effective.

Their Nashville team is a shitshow. Sorry, but thats true, so they lose all their objectivity when they look at the assessment of their roster. It's like when last year some posters were saying Kovacevic was bad. I mean, the team was bad, but the player himself was reliable. It's not because your team is at the bottom of the standings that every player are bad
