Too early to tellGreat trade in hindsight
Has 5 years past already? Damn that was one hell of a nap.Great trade in hindsight
Habs have traded their dman with the most hits and blocked shots for a very unknown potential, a kid who had serious injuries over the last two seasons.
Thats what Guhle and Xhekaj do as well. Habs traded a good 2nd pairing defenseman for a 6"4 200 pounds foward and former 3rd overall who might end up centering one of our top 2 lines, thats worth the gamble IMO and I trust them to have made their homework on the kid, they probably know everything about his wrist injury and they watched him more than any of us combined.Habs have traded their dman with the most hits and blocked shots for a very unknown potential, a kid who had serious injuries over the last two seasons.

I'd argue 3rd pairing on a good team. He has no offense.Well you pretty much sums up the trade.
Hits and blocked shots 2nd pair defenseman vs a potential 2nd (maybe 1st liner) center.
I think people there was expecting Dubois trade. Dach instead crossed many up. He was trying to figure it outCameraman zooming on fan making a face. They do that all the time, like they did in the KK draft.
Why would they expect a Dubois trade? No one was even expecting a trade. the silly rumours started way after the draft because a journalist said they saw dubois there and then every rumour possible got used for media storiesI think people there was expecting Dubois trade. The Dubois not willing to engage long-term with the Jets story happened before the draft. Why would they expect a Dubois trade? i remember the many here complaining that mb will pick tkachuk and it will be horrible pick he only makes cause the kid plays the right wayDepends. Most people that didn't want KK wanted Zadina and so far KK is definitely the better pick.
The few that wanted Tkachuk or Hughes are the ones that are looking good right now.
If those are the only things you know about those two players, I'm surprised you care enough about the trade to comment.Habs have traded their dman with the most hits and blocked shots for a very unknown potential, a kid who had serious injuries over the last two seasons.
Let us all hope that Dach doesn’t replace Romanov as our most overrated player.I'd argue 3rd pairing on a good team. He has no offense.
+ Another one to a shoulder.1 serious injury, a broken wrist

I think Dach is damaged goods and overated as hell.If those are the only things you know about those two players, I'm surprised you care enough about the trade to comment.
I don’t think the criticism with picking Tkachuk came from him playing the right way. He was viewed as a “safe pick” with good but not great upside. Our franchise was starved for a potential star center. We were coming off a brutal year with Drouin playing as a number 1 centre and 5 years of Desharnais before that. It’s not really surprising a lot of people weren’t thinking clear and were willing to take a massive gamble on Kohtkaniemi.i remember the many here complaining that mb will pick tkachuk and it will be horrible pick he only makes cause the kid plays the right way
"Dach suffered a right shoulder sprain during the second period Thursday against the Sharks when he was slightly tripped up by Nicolas Meloche behind the net, then fallen on by Sam Lafferty.Apr 16, 2022"+ Another one to a shoulder.

I hear you , I was surely one of the ones on the kk bandwagon , though I like tkachuck… however I was against zadina so there I was right , and I have same feeling about wright . KK should be on a poster in the front office with a size 200 font text saying ‘ NEVER AGAIN PICK FOR NEEDS INSTEAD OF BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE ´I don’t think the criticism with picking Tkachuk came from him playing the right way. The right choice was Hughes and hardly anyone considered him to be the best player available.KK should be on a poster in the front office with a size 200 font text saying ‘ NEVER AGAIN PICK FOR NEEDS INSTEAD OF BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE ´
How come Chicago did not keep a 21 year old big centerman with such a skills set. ?Damaged good at 21?
Overrated as ‘’hell’’ when all people does is actually underrating him because he didn’t produce enough points in his career so far for their liking?
How come Chicago did not keep a 21 year old big centerman with such a skills set. ?
They didnt keep the 2 time 40 goal scorer either..How come Chicago did not keep a 21 year old big centerman with such a skills set. ?
There is no guarantee in hell they gonna be able to draft Bedard next season. They have their reasons to trade DeBrincat and Dach. They didnt keep the 2 time 40 goal scorer either..
And it's because of that kid on team Canada yesterday. Btw.
