I really came around to Kerfoot in the playoffs last year. Really didn't care for him before that, thought he was a super vanilla player. But he was really strong against Montreal and he's been playing a great game this year. He's fast as hell and makes good choices with the puck. Plays well with our talented guys as a winger, can 2/3c if we're desperate (Kampf gives us the option to let Kerfoot play W). I really like what he's brought to the table, he's really improved as a player in my eyes.

If he keeps this up he's gonna steal a spot in top 6 permanently, and will get a raise. I hope he keeps it up. I've always liked his attitude. Seems like a humble guy too.

Always been underrated. He is a solid top 9 forward who can play a variety of roles. If he was more consistent, he's a nice 2nd liner but he can fill in on the top 6 when needed.

He caught a lot of flak around here and I think from the old coach for simply not being Nazem. I’m not sure who remembers but he spent a large portion of that first season with a birdcage on after having his face caved in.
Even last year his play was good, he just wasn’t getting the production you’d hope for, now thats it’s finally come together I hope and expect it to continue. He’s obviously very bright, and has good chemistry with some of our better players.
The Kadri deal will look a lot better next year when kerf is producing for us making $3.5 and Naz will be on whatever overpayment retirement deal he’s getting this off season

Don't think Campbell is signing his monster contract via Kerfoot being let go...

Kerfoot is a player that gets heralded by Keefe as a do anything player that's low maintenance, I think he sees a totally different player than I do. Last night against Pitts. was a typical Kerfoot night, rarely(never) wins puck battles, panic blind passes frequently, outside of the PK is usually invisible , rarely goes to the opposition's net(part of his invisibility), can't carry the puck, poor passer, anemic shot, that's enough for now.

He's had a good stretch of late, point per game for nine games, it won't last.

I hated this guy, thought he was engvall and mikheyev level his entire tenure till last years playoffs where he was one of the 5 players who showed up the entire way through. Since then he’s been super impressive

Ritchie, Holl, Kerfoot, pick/prospect to Montreal for Andersen, Kulak, Evans, the cap swap is almost even, MTL takes 100k in cap hit. We could switch Willie to LW, Andersen could play RW with Tavares at center. Mikky plays LW with Matty and Marner.

Andersen is the best player in this deal, Kerfoot, Holl, pick/prospect are the 2nd, 3rd and 4th best players in this deal. the rest is just a cap dump from Toronto's perspective and roster dump to keep the Habs at the # of roster players limit.

Kerfoot is not a noticeable player most nights. I personally do not want him on this team for 3.5 million. Kerfoot produced last year in the playoffs, did anyone even notice? I didnt. He is a very replaceable player. An undersized winger , with wheels. Takes alot of selfish penalties as well. He doesnt create things on his own, isnt a goal scorer so he tends to over pass which is quite readable.
