  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
They missed the deadline (last night) to send Tuch to Rochester on conditioning assignment for Wednesday's game. ;)

Appereantly Friedman said Sabres tried to get Zegras,Drysdale, and two firsts for Eichel. Damn that would of been nice, but a huge overpayment by the Ducks. Oh well still happy with what we got.

I'm guessing that was the initial ask, and not a realistic expectation. I'd be curious what the initial ask was from Vegas if what we received is what was settled upon.

Bloom talked about how surprisingly big Cozens is, especially when they get out on the ice. It's going to give some teams matchup issues... which is funny to think about for a Sabre team.
Especially when he adds his man strength and fills out. Big, fast, strong with skill is an enviable tool set

Hey I'm happy he at least tried to get that haul. I'm happy as well in the return we actually got. KA did well given the circumstances.

I concur. I'd even almost go so far as to say I'm surprised he got what he did. Eichel may never be the same. Zegras, Drysdale and whatever else would have blown my mind. It's also a career ender for the GM if Eichel is never the same.

Two big and fast and all three over 6'4"? Sequoia line!
Funny that the Sequoia line doesn’t even have our tallest player on it.

Not sure who is playing RD, but that line with Power and Samuelson on defense would cover a lot of the ice with their reach.

I'd add IQ to that tool set, Cozens understands the game and is miles ahead of say, Tage at the same age. It's an impressive list of attributes. Not a superstar level in any one category but he has well above average ability in all those areas, I'd say just under elite in those categories, and that high end combination of all those abilities is kind of what makes him different/special.

It's also why he seems to have a limitless ceiling...it's too soon to tell just how good he'll be but there's every reason to believe he can perhaps be a top 15-25 player in his prime. Just a hair below superstar, high end, 2-way centre - not Jack-level...he won't stick out individually too much but the type of player that just helps your team win...maybe a lesser version of Bergeron w/similar style/ability with a little less offense and a little more grit?

We'll see but he certainly has an impressive skill-set.
