Habs could easily be in the mix if Dach and Newhook found their game.
Right?

As bad as the season start has gone, those two being below half of expected output (let alone optimistic/"breakout" production level) would easily have helped us win 3-5 more games... That would have us sitting in a playoff spot.

I wouldn't call him dumb. He thinks the game at a good speed, but his hands aren't always there and he bobbles pucks. He's got to improve his poise a bit. But I definitely do not find him lacking IQ.
He's lacking a little bit of everything and isn't great at anything. He has a good top speed but can't use it as a weapon because he lacks the explosiveness needed to separate himself.

Hopefully Hughes can show he has no loyalty to underperforming acquisitions and this guy can be part of a package to bring in something else.
we know what we DON'T have in this coaching staff ,now let's see what we have in management,so far they're boardering on a (C-) to a (D).Are they going to leave the fans hang out to dry again? because listening to Nick Suzuki say (we were a little rusty) or the coach saying ( i feel for Dach) is getting nauseating. Feel bad for those poor suckers who spent money to see these pampered pu$$y's on Sat night.

Reminds me of Perezhogin at times. He hasn't found whatever he can capitalize on in this league. I don't think we'll be able to recuperate the investment HuGo made into this acquisition. Talk about completely overrating a prospect, Newhook is for sure their worst gamble since taking the reins of this club.

i don't know but seeing Reinbacker get so easily injured on what looked like a insignificant hit is not looking good so far either. The Barron trade is looking like a complete bust as well,Yup looks like KH is earning the "bargain bin" title now.Dollarama days are back folks ! How about a dvd of that Crave docu. on the rebuild as a stocking stuffer for that relative you can't stand

Good thing is, he may be able to get his first assist of the season playing with Suzy and Caufield

Colorado traded him for a late 1st, an early 2nd and Faibrother, then Colorado trades that early 2nd for Ross Colton and signs Drouin to replace Newhook. Colorado drafted Mikhail Gulyayev with the 1st round pick.

That’s call great assets management.

Yet the Avs are barely clinging to wildcard spot..Gulyayev extended his contract in KHL to 2026 and is rumored to be seeking another extension

Colorado’s Drouin, Colton, Lekhonen, Nichushkin have all played less than 10 games and Toews and Wood missing some time as well. That’s a full second line and some more.
Don’t miss this out.

If Newhook doesn't play in our top 6 look to move him? He's not great defensive nor physical. I can't see him in bottom 6 role on championship team
I could see him playing on a 3rd line. A Fast forward solid on forechek is also valuable. The moment our players are gonna be on the right chair, we will have a better picture.

I think this move, along with the Dach one have shown that HuGo hastily pulled the trigger and overpaid. I can also bundle in the Toffoli trade. I guess his inexperience got the best of him here.

Not sure how he can fix these mistakes, but he did draft Hage with that second he acquired from the Lehky trade. I mean let's face it, Barron is another underwhelming asset.
